Kaitlin's P.O.V
I was whisked a way into a room inside the justice building.
Well this is a nice room, well a nice room for a goodbye.
I paced the room a good five minutes before the door opened.
"Kaitlin!" Zach ran in and took me in his arms,"listen there isn't much time, there's a secret your mother never told you. She won the hunger games and after refusing to do what the capitol wanted her to do they swore they'd get their revenge. Your name wasn't drawn by chance kaitlin." Zach tightened his grip around me.
"A good luck, I love you kaitlin would have been a nice touch zach," I gave him a death stare then hugged him back. After all this is probably the last time I'll ever see him.
"I love you like a little sister, I know you do it. Stick with Nash he'll do what he can to protect you."
Before I could reply a peacekeeper came in and took zach away.
I was ment to die in the games......
Nashton's P.O.V
Did zach see Kaitlin yet? Oh god I hope so.
Just then the door opened.
"Hey," I saw Zach's tear stained cheeks.
"I'm guessing you told her about her mother."
"Yeah...just remember the plan Nash."
"Of course I'll remember the plan! I'm going to make sure Kaitlin is save no matter what....i-i love her...." I ducked my head and studied the ground.
I first realized how much kaitlin ment to me about 3 years ago when she slipped and fell in the lake, when she fell she landed on her head knocking her unconscious and if I wasnt there she would have died.
"Don't worry zach....she'll be safe."
The peacekeeper signaled that it was time for Zach to leave.
I'm in love with my best friend and I'm in the hunger games with her....
Kaitlin's P.O.V
We boreded the train and Nash pulled me into a room.
"Hey," he looked at the ground.
"Nash what's wrong?" I walked towards him and saw the tears streaming down his cheeks.
I did the only thing I could think of. I walked closer to nash and lifted his face up, before he could register what was going on I kissed him. The kiss started out awkward but escolated. Eventually we both broke apart gasping for air.
"I love you kaitlin."
I felt my cheeks burn,"I love you too nashton, forever and always."
He put his arm around me and pulled me in for a quick kiss,"let's go get something to eat," he intertwined his fingers with mine and we walked out.
At dinner we talked straigy with finnick until he got distracted by a shiney object on the wall and nashton pulled me into the bedroom.
"Come on sweetie you need some sleep," nash walked me over to my bed.
"Nash."
"Yeah?"
"Will you stay with me?...."
"I thought you'd never ask," he kissed me and took his pants off.
"Nash what are you doing?"
"What? Am I not allowed to sleep comfortably?" He pulled his shirt off and climbed in to bed,"hurry up slow poke."
I took of my own pants and slide in bed next to him.
"Night nash."
"Goodnight my love," nash pulled me close to him and I laid my head on his chest and easily fell asleep.
