(The next day at school)
"Ugh just made it" I thought as I ran into my first period class. I see Leo finally made it on time Mrs. Clinton announced I just went to my seat and sat calming my breathing.
April's POV
I saw Leo run into the class after he sat I noticed that he was tired and his stomach was grumbling like he hadn't ate or slept looked at Casey concerned he looked back the same way. "After class I'm going to talk to him I thought".

Finally I thought as class was over. I threw a paper airplane at Casey to get his attention I missed. Ugh come on I thought angrly after my fifth try I got his attention. I looked at Leo then back at him he nodded his head we both got up and walked to Leo's desk. Hey Leo I said he turned and smiled me hey April he said then he noticed Casey was there and told him hey. I wanted to tell him I was concerned but I didn't know how then Casey saw me struggling and Leo have you been eating? I glared at him. Leo looked panicked then said yeah why? Leo's POV
I can't let them know I haven't been eating we don't have enough food for me and my brothers to eat and my brothers are younger and need the nutrition since I can't afford school/daycare lunches. Are you sure Leo? If something's wrong you know you can trust us April said. I hate lieing to my friends but I can't risk my brothers getting taken away. Yes I promise I'm fine I said they both looked unhappy with my answers. I was about to say something when Mrs. Clinton said Leo your excused I yelled YES in my head and got up quickly sorry guys but I got to go I said. I thanked Mrs. Clinton and left.
