"Hurry up, you don't want to miss the plane!" My mother yells from the kitchen.

"I'm coming, Mama!" I tell back.
As I walk into the kitchen, Mama smooths down my clothes. She gives me a warm smile and tears start to form in her eyes.

"Mama, don't cry," I say, "you're going to make me cry."

We chuckle lightly.

"I'm really going to miss my little girl" Papa says entering the room.

"Papa, I'm gonna miss you even more." I reply.

"Alright, enough sadness," Mama sniffles.

"This is a great opportunity. I mean, Stark Industries. That's an amazing accomplishment!"

"I know, I know. It's just... I don't want to leave you guys. I'll be going all the way to America." I state.

"I know, sweetie, but it's too big to pass up." Papa adds.

Just then the twins come running in.

"Lilli!" They both yell.

"Twins!" I reply.
I bend down to give them both big hugs.

"Are you gonna be gone forever, Lilli?" Wanda asks.

"No, not forever. Just for a little while." I reply.

"When will we see you again?" Pietro questions.

"You will see me many times again, little dragã," I state, "many times again."

"You better get going, or you're going to miss the plane." Mama says again.

"Alright," I sigh, "one last hug before I go?"

We all huddle in a family group hug before I run out the door towards the airport.

When I arrive in America, I find a man with my name on a sign. I'm not quite sure why. Maybe it's an American thing.

"Are you Lilliana Maximoff, Miss?" The man asks.

"Yes?" I reply.

"Alright, I've been sent by Mr.Stark to escort you to your new office."

"Oh okay" I smile.

"Let me take your bags from you, so we can put them in the car." He says.

"No, no that's alright I can carry them." I reply.

"I insist, let me take at least one of them." He states.

"Okay, here." I hand him a bag or two.

"The cars this way, Miss." He says.

"Please call me Lilliana."

"Alright, Miss Lilliana." He smiles.
I chuckle, giving an awkward grin.

It's close enough.

We walk outside to this black SUV. The man opens the back door for me, puts my luggage in the back, climbs into the front seat, and begins to drive.

"This is the first time I've ever left my hometown." I state.

"Really?" He asks surprised.

"Yes, and it is beautiful here. There isn't anything quite as extraordinary in Sokovia."

"Well there is plenty to see here" he replies.

"How long has it been since you left your hometown, Mr..." I pause.

"Smith" he finishes.

"Ah, yes, Mr.Smith"

"It's been about 50 years since I first left my hometown. But, I've visited a few times since. At least, when Mr.Stark doesn't need me." He jokes.
