Two days ago
Her limbs were torn from her body, veins pulled out from inside her, and head dismembered from her neck and shoulders. The poor victim's body was severed into so many different pieces. Her crimson blood was painted across the walls and floor. To say the least; this was not a normal murder.
Present
"Officer, an employee of mine, Mia Reynolds, didn't show up for work for a couple days. I was hoping that you could check on her," he said.
"Maybe she is taking a break or taking a sick day," the officer replied in a monotone.
"See, that's the problem. If she were sick or taking a vacation, she would have called," the boss said with worry plaguing his voice.
"So what? She didn't call. It isn't a big deal," replied the officer.
"Officer, I don't think you get it. Mia has been employee of the month for the past year and a half. She always calls," the boss said with frustration. The officer was silent for a few moments, then he cleared his throat and continued.
"Okay, I will send a few guys over to her house," he said, becoming very serious.
When the other officers arrived at Mia's house, they knocked the door but no one answered. The deputy that was with them backed up then rammed through it.
"Mia!" the deputy shouted into house. He sent men into all areas of the house. The deputy went upstairs with two men and sent an officer into the east wing, and the others into the west wing to search for any sign of Mia.
"Deputy, we found her!" an officer shouted from the kitchen. The deputy ran downstairs and into the kitchen where he saw the most awful thing he has ever seen. He turned away and tried not to throw up his breakfast. He called the chief and reported what they found, and in minutes forensics were on the scene.
One of the specialists with the forensics team kneeled down close to the body and examined it.
"It looks a couple days old," he said to the chief. He moved toward her arms that remained a few feet away. "It seems that most of her blood has been drained out and that veins are missing," he continued. He stood up and looked over at the chief and deputy.
"What kind of psycho does this?" the deputy asks, looking towards the chief. The chief doesn't answer or look at the deputy.
"Bag her up and bring her to the station. Let's get this mess cleaned up before the neighbors start spreading stupid shit to the press," he shouts to the large group in the house.
"Sir, but forensics need more time to record this stuff and gather evidence," the deputy says to the chief with a look of concern.
"They have 10 minutes," the chief replies. He walks out of the house holding a stern look, but his shoulders were shaking.Soon after, two handsome FBI agents walked through the doors of the station to observe the body. One was abnormally tall with long, shaggy brown hair. The other was slightly shorter with messy, short, dirty-blond hair. The agents asked strange questions and drove a sexy black car that is not usually driven by FBI agents. The old car was a 1967 Chevy Impala. The pair walked up to the front desk and spoke with the woman behind the desk.
"We're here to see the body of Mia Reynolds," the taller one said.
"Badges please," she said. Both agents whipped out their badges for the woman to see. The shorter one looked closely at her and watched her body. He winked at her and gave her a heart-stopping smile. Her cheeks became rosey and she smiled back. The taller one elbowed him in the side and glared.
"What?" the shorter one asked looking confused. The taller one kept glaring and walked in the direction of the coroner's office.
"Thank you," the shorter man said, winking at the receptionist again. He caught up to his partner and walked beside him. "Sam, why are you mad at me?" he said to him.
"Really, Dean? You hit on every women you see," Sam said, still glaring. "Just, nevermind we have a case." Sam pushed open the doors to the coroner's office and began speaking with the coroner. "In the report you said she had been torn apart, almost to bits. Almost described as an attack by a rabid animal," he said curiously.
"Oh, yes," the specialist replied. "Let me show you," he said. He pulled the sheet off of Mia's cold body. "As you can see, her limbs have been torn from her body, veins are missing, and her head has been severed from her neck and shoulders. Oh and most of her blood has been drained," the coroner said, glancing at the body. Dean and Sam looked at each other. Sam cringed at the body.
"Was there anything weird found at the crime scene?" Dean asked.
"Well not really. Oh, wait. An officer reported claw marks outside the window," the coroner said. "But I don't really believe that. You don't either, right?" he asked.
"Oh, no! That's insane!" The agents said, chuckling nervously. The coroner had a skeptical vibe and looked at them, suspicious of their fake and shaky laughter.
"Thanks for the info, we'll be back soon," Sam said, trying stay calm. The two agents turned around and quickly walked out of the station to the Impala. They entered the car, and Dean started the engine.
"Great, now that guy is gonna say something and we won't be able to go back in!" Dean shouted angrily.
"Well it wasn't my fault!" Sam shouted back.
"You made him suspicious!" Dean yelled again, blaming Sam.
"Me? You asked if they found anything weird!" Sam returning the blame to Dean.
"We always ask that question, Sam! It's nothing new!" Dean yelled. He started to back up the car and pull away from the station
"Ugh, whatever," Sam huffed.
"Why are you upset that I was flirting?" Dean asked, glancing at Sam.
"Because...I have my reasons," Sam said nervously.
"Tell me!" Dean whined.
"Okay, fine. I am upset because don't you have someone already?" Sam asked, hinting about someone Dean knows and loves. Sam thought of how Dean wouldn't betray the one he loves. He sees the way that his brother looks at Cas. 'Dean you moron,' Sam thought.
"Who? I have no one special," Dean replied, dumbfounded. Sam glared at Dean again, thinking about the obvious tension between Dean and Cas. They obviously liked each other, why can't they see that?
"Wait, do you mean... Cas?" Dean asked, his voice shaking, and cheeks turning rosey red. "Oh, no. No, no, no," Dean said hurriedly. "Me and Cas? No. No!" Dean said, waving the thought out of his mind. Dean tried to not think about him but Cas crept back into his mind and he smiled. His cheeks flushed even more.
"What are you thinking about, Dean?" Sam asked with a smirk.
"Huh? What? Nothing!" Dean said, shaking his head.
"I think I know who," Sam said, starting to laugh at his older brother.
"No, no! It's not what you think!" Dean yelled in fear. Sam's grin grew evil and the gears in his head were turning. Sam put his hands together, closed his eyes and prayed.
"Castiel, if you are listening, we need your help. Dean especially." Sam opened his eyes and stopped praying. The loud flapping of wings was heard coming from the back seat of the car. Suddenly the angel Castiel appeared.
"Dean! Are you okay?!" Castiel cried into the front seat. Dean glanced at Cas and stopped the car.
"Cas!" Dean shouted angrily.
"Dean, you seem to be of proper health. Are you okay?" Cas asked in confusion.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Dean replied, glaring at Sam.
"Then why did Sam summon me here?" Cas asked, becoming more confused.
"I just wanted you to know that Dean--" Sam said, Dean cutting him off. Dean slapped a hand over Sam's mouth to shut him up. Sam tried to speak but all he could make were muffled noises.
"Why did you cover his mouth, Dean?" Castiel asked, confused and concerned.
"Oh, Sam's just you know... off," Dean said, trying to find words that make sense together.
"Oh. What was he going to say?" Cas asked with curiosity.
"Probably some shit that makes no sense," Dean replied, avoiding eye contact. Castiel frowned and put his hand on Dean's shoulder.
"Dean, I know you are hiding something," he said. Dean looked back at Castiel and blushed a little.
"You do?" Dean asked, voice shaky.
"You have the traits of someone who is hiding something. Avoiding eye contact, shaky voice, and what seems to be sweaty palms." Cas replied seriously. Dean chuckled at Castiel's response.
"He was gonna say--" Dean began.
"Dean!! What the hell?!" Sam, who bit Dean's hand to speak, interrupted. Sam was too focused on his own problems to be paying attention to Cas and Dean's conversation.
"You were gonna say something stupid to Cas!" Dean replied. Cas watched the two of them fight. They continued to fight after Dean started the car and was driving again. Eventually it died down and it was quiet except for Dean's classic rock playing on the radio. The Dean broke the silence. "So, Cas, wanna help us gank the monster on this case?" Dean asked, glancing at Cas.
"Uh... sure. I guess I can be of some use to you." Cas replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"Some use?! Cas, you kick ass!" Dean said, his smile illuminating the car. Cas blushed lightly as Dean complimented him profusely. Dean glanced at Cas and saw his blush, halting his words. 'He's blushing?! He is so cute!' Dean thought.
"Anyway," Sam said rolling his eyes, "the vic was torn to bits and was drained of blood," Sam continued to Cas.
"Maybe some kind of super vamp?" Dean said, doubtedly.
"But what about the claw marks outside the window. And it being torn to bits is a sign of strength. Vamps don't usually tear their victims apart like that, werewolves do. So it could also be a werewolf." Sam said, thinking out loud.
"Maybe it's a vamp/werewolf duo," Dean laughed.
"Hmm,"Cas said, deep in thought.
"I guess we'll have to do some more research," Sam said opening up his laptop.
"Have fun with that," Dean said with a grin. "Cas can you...?" Dean started taking notice to the silence from Cas. He quickly glanced into the backseat, there was no angel to be found, Cas was gone.
