Tobias's pov.
The last thing I said to her was " I love you". Now I stand by her side, holding her hand just praying to god for her to wake up. I can't imagine life without her. Although I think I'm might just have to do it.
I hear a knock at the door. Christiana comes in. We are still at the bureau compound.
" We have to get going four" says Chris in a sweat whisper tone.
"I know. It's just I don't want to leave her." I sigh and just stare at tris and hope she will open her eyes.
I get out of my daze and follow Chris out of the infirmary. Just as we are about to leave a see a small movement from the corner of my eye. I look back and see tris sitting in the hospital bed. I run to her and hug the life out of her.
"Tobias..... can't... breath." And I let go of her and kiss her. She kisses me back with all she has within her.
" I thought you were gone. David shot you. You were bleeding to death. I can't imagine life without y-" I whisper before she cuts me off with another kiss and says " I know."
Christiana taps me on the shoulder and says "Mind if I say hi to my best friend four." I let them say hi. Then I help tris up and get Chris to go spread the news to the rest of our friends.
"Tobias."
"Yes tris."
"How long was I gone for???" She asks with a desperate tone in her voice. I never realized but she has that look when she needs to know something that it makes her look that much more beautiful.
"You were gone for about a year. We stayed to help put back bureau and organize the council members because u brain washed them with the memory serum. We were suppose to leave today, and leave you here. And I hated that idea. But they would have let me get your ashes." I say as we walk to the cafeteria where the others are.
"I think we can still leave today though if your up to it?" I ask tris with a little bit of a grin.
"I think I am ready to get out of this horrible place once and for all." She exclaims as she kind of puts a smile on her face.
I give tris one last kiss just before we walk into the cafeteria, and get harassed with excitement.
