'Wow,' thought the man, 'A hotel.'
This was his first time ever to go to a hotel. Usually, at this time, he would be stuck in the office, filing insurance complaints into what was essentially a black hole. But ever since his luck turned by "winning" the lottery, this man had been going places.
The man sighed as he looked outside the window, revealing the streets of downtown Manhattan. He was only going to be here a couple days, but he wanted to enjoy it as much as he possibly could. But first, he had to do what he came for...
The man shrugged off his jacket and threw it on the bed, and went to see the bathroom. As he walked across the room, the man couldn't help but feel a sense of......satisfaction, he guessed, spread through his body. This was what he was meant to do. This was what he had always wanted.
Or so he told himself.
While the man inspecting the sink, a phone rang from the other room. Frowning, the man exited the bathroom to see who was calling.
Then he realized his phone was in his trouser pockets.
Realizing that this could only mean two things, the man quickly ran up to the bed and frantically searched his jacket pockets. Frustrated, he turned the jacket upside-down, shaking it as if he expected something to come out.
An iPhone the man had never seen before fell out of his pocket.
Trembling, the man picked up the phone and answered it.
"Hello?" the man's fear was palpable.
"Mr. Hall," another masculine voice replied, "I told you to expect a phone call,"
"Y-yes," stammered Mr. Hall, "But how did this-"
"I have my ways," cut off the voice, "Are you in the room?"
"Yes,"
"Good," the voice purred, "You have one day to rest. Tomorrow, your package shall arrive,"
"Y-yes sir. Very good sir," managed Mr. Hall.
"Dispose of this phone by running water over it," instructed the voice, and the line went dead.
Mr. Hall let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. His face still white, Mr. Hall made his way to the bathroom. He wiped his brow with his sleeve, and tossed the phone into the sink. Turning on the water, Mr. Hall let out a sigh as he washed his face. Through his fingers, he saw as the phone slowly melted away, as if it were dissolving bit by bit into the water.
Mr. Hall let out another sigh. 'Just one job,' he thought to himself. 'One job and I'm set for life.' That was what the man on the phone had promised. And he had already delivered on his side of the bargain.
Mr. Hall turned off the faucet, and turned his attention back onto the hotel room, pushing the real reason why he was here out of his mind.
He wondered if this hotel had cable.

"Hey, what would you like?" said the girl at the counter, smiling at the two men. One of them smiled at her, whilst the other murmured something to his companion.
"How 'bout a Big Mac?" asked the first man. With all the work they were going to be doing with the new job an' all, a good meal was gunna be essential.
"Yeah, whatever," answered the second. He wasn't too fussed about the food, he had more important things in mind. What with his double life and all.
