I've always sought to ponder
In this world full of wonder
In this world full of strife
What even is life
18 years of living
18 years of believing
Spending days in apex or depth
Only awaiting my last breath
Conquering trials and challenges
Celebrating survival and successes
That fleeting moment of ecstasy
Surrounded by love, cherished by destiny
All that happens with one ephemeral soul
With neither direction nor goal
If I deserve this for all I am worth
What about the salt of the earth?
Life is deemed unfair
What with the hierarchy everywhere
In this world full of hate
Life seems like an endless debate
We who were but youths
At some point will change into young adults
Growing old with fading brilliance
Someday without a trace of existence
Even so, we live on frantically
Shouldering our lives naturally
Loathing, loving, struggling, giving
No matter what, go on living
