Chapter 19: Crocodile

*Third Person's POV*

Past few weeks Sasuke has been avoiding Sakura at all cost. Whenever he would hear her voice or saw a glimpse of her his heart would start running faster then Flash. Those stuff didn't go unnoticed by his blonde best friend. He suspected that Sasuke had feelings towards the pinkette but now he was sure of it. Others also noticed his strange behaviour but didn't really gave it a thought.

Today, Sasuke was planning to stay at home, watch some movies, eat, sleep and do whatever he want to. Unfortunately nothing went planned. After eating breakfast he got a call from Naruto, he was claiming that there was an emergency and Sasuke had to come immediately at his godfather's house. Poor Sasuke did as he was told, though he didn't know what he was getting himself into.

"What the hell is an emergency, dobe?!" Sasuke scoffed when he arrived at Naruto's godfather's house.

"First of all, don't get angry at me." He said, which made already angry Sasuke more angry.

"Spitt it out, dobe!"

"Fine, fine. Pervy Sage was to babysit a pet today but he got to run away for his research thing, so he called me. Unfortunately I have to run away as well because I'm supposed to escort Hinata at his father's ball tonight and I have to get ready, help Hinata's father and Neji in everything so I won't get any criticism and also bring dad lunch in his office. So please, can you look after the pet? I'll be back till midnight before Pervy Sage comes!" Sasuke wanted to say no and go back home but it would've been wrong as he knew how much Naruto was trying to impress Hinata's father, Hiashi Hyuga.

So, he agreed.

"Where's the pet?" He asked Naruto before he left.

"He's sleeping right now in the kitchen. He dislikes strangers but he'll get used to you if you feed him. All the instructions are on the table. Please, walk him in the park and bath him after that. If not, Pervy Sage will kill me!" He exclaimed and took his stuff to leave. "Oh, and teme, don't be scared when you see him, he doesn't bite!" After this, the blonde dashed out of the house.

After Naruto left, Sasuke heard some noises from the kitchen, he supposed the pet had already woken up. When he opened the kitchen door he was beyond shocked. I repeat, shocked. Oh, and also angry. He thought the pet was puppy or a cat but he it never crossed his mind that the pet would be a crocodile.

'WHEN I'LL SEE YOU, I'M GONNA KILL YOU NARUTO!' Sasuke yelled in his mind.

'Hope that thing won't kill us.' his inner yelled. 'I'll find that dobe's inner and beat him like a pulp!'

'Punch him for me too.' he told him.

Sasuke looked at the awolen crocodile who was growling at him. To say he was scared wouldn't describe whole situation. He remembered what Naruto told him, he also read the note of how to treat him, so he took some food from the fridge and put it on the corcodile's plate. Uchiha slowly pushed the plate to the corcodile's direction and waited for his actions. He noticed that his name was written on the necklace that corcodile was wearing. Turns out his name is Fang.

After eating Fang started going whenever Sasuke went. It's like he was attached to him. 'Looks like he likes you.' his inner told him.

Two hours went by and Sasuke realised it was time to walk Fang. People would start staring at him since he would be walking a crocodile. At least this would keep him from annoying fangirls.

As said earlier, everyone was staring at him. Parents were keeping their children away and fangirls were hesitating to approach him. It wasn't long when he noticed Sakura and Kiba walking in the park. Kiba was with his dog Akamaru and Sakura was holding a white cat.

His heart started pounding. Sasuke wanted to run away but a big green lizard wasn't moving. He hoped they didn't see him because it would make everything more complicated. The reason why younger Uchiha was avoiding her is that whenever they talk, or she looks at his way he starts blushing, stuttering and completely changing behaviour. He's going out of character. Good thing is that now Sasuke doesn't deny that he loves her.

"Sasuke? What the hell are you doing in the park with a crocodile?" While he was zoned out Kiba and Sakura approached him.

"H-hn, I'm walking him." He answered Kiba's question and tried to not look at Sakura.

"And why do you have a crocodile?"

"Dobe was supposed to do this but due to the fact that he has to escort Hinata he asked me to do it."

"And you agreed? Wow." Sakura chuckled.

"I-I didn't know that pet would be a crocodile." Sasuke tried to hide the blush so he looked away.

Kiba's phone started ringing and he walked away to talk. "What about you? Why are you here with that dog-boy?"

Sakura was a little shocked by his sudden question. "I wanted to walk my cat and came across Kiba and Akamaru here."

Sasuke simply said 'hn'.

"Sorry guys, I have to go. My sister called, lookes like I have some guests. Cya later!" Kiba said and ran away with Akamaru.

Sakura turned to Sasuke to say goodbye but Sasuke cut her off. "Want me to walk you home?" He suggested.

"If your crocodile doesn't bite." She laughed after getting over her shock. Sasuke cracked a smile and started walking.

Sakura opened the door and before going inside she turned to Sasuke. "Thanks for walking me and Yue home." She said and kissed his cheek. Sasuke was red like his favourite food. "H-hn. N-not a problem." He said and waved his hand. Sakura waved back and went inside.

'I bet you guys would be a couple before Christmas!' his inner popped out of nowhere. Sasuke ignored inner kept walking.

Evening went without any problems(well, bathing Fang was kinda hard but Uchiha managed it well). Sasuke fed the crocodile and after that sat in the couch and watched a movie. Before movie ended, Naruto came.

"Thansk teme, you're a life saviour! I owe you one." His blonde best friend said with a brigh grin.

"Hn. Whatever. How did the ball go?"

"Pretty well actually! I didn't get any criticism and Mr Hyuga and Neji were pleased with everything. It was kinda boring since Hyuga ball wasn't some random party with loud music but I still managed." Naruto has proud smile spread on his face.

"Good. I'll be going now. See you at school dobe." Sasuke smirked and left Naruto's godfather's house...
