Chapter 1: The Beginning
HIM:
I've met her since we were on the 6th grade. She got transferred to my school because of fighting back to a guy. Silly to hear, but matter of fact it's true. We've grown together for almost all of our lives. Well, 4 years now actually, but you know, we're tight. Hanging out with her is like the best moments I'll always cherish. She's my best friend and I'll always be there for her. Through her ups and downs, her problems, even with her mood swings sometimes. No girl really wants to talk to her cus they think she's a freak for wearing oversized shirts and basketball shorts and for not shaving her legs. But, that's just the way she is.
HER:
Four years of friendship and counting. Josh's been a really good friend to me -- always being there for me when no one is. He's the one who always listens and never fails to make me laugh. He's really funny! It's like, hard to take him seriously sometimes cus even his face looks funny. He's always there to give me advices. He's been like a big brother to me throughout all these years. A lot of girls has been hating on me because of him. They think that why is Josh even hanging out with me, or they say Josh is too good for me. But Josh keeps telling me not to mind them. He always protects me. He's like the big brother everyone would want to have.
HIM:
I've always been there for her. Listening to all her problems. But I love the fact that both of us are dancers. Shay is such a clumsypuppy that she breaks her bones a lot of times that it worries me so bad! Dancing is our one way of letting go of all the problems. I remember having our first practice together with the crew. She broke her wrists while trying to do a handstand. She's so stupid of trying to do it cus she knows she has to be taught first. Well, it worried me so bad it gave me a cold the next day. I'm not even
exaggerating. But, that's just her. Clumsy. Hard headed.
HER:
Josh never failed to make me smile. Cheer me up in the worst times. He's my best friend, and we will always be. I got his back and I know he's got mine. Every moment we share together is a good one. When you're with him, you will always be laughing your booty off. I don't get how he can be that funny though. Like, he's literally funny. I wonðer how he does that! But, that's Josh for you. I'm so lucky that he's part of my life.
HIM:
Shay hits me so hard sometimes that I suggest her joining the boxing team (if we ever have one). If only I had a quarter for every time she hit me, I'd be rich!
Shay once had a boyfriend. We we're eighth graders back then. They dated for days. We became friends, but I wasn't really feeling him. He was pretty cool. But as Shay's best friend, I can't stop the feeling of doubting that guy Connor. He swore a lot, and he's failing his subjects. Well, he's getting C's but if you're a Filipino like me, C is already an F. Ya know what I mean?
I heard rumors about that dude. Rumors only us guys know. Guys have secrets that no girl know about.
I also hung out with some of Connor's friends so the rumor spread in a snap. The bottomline was, Connor is only playing with Shay. I didn't react, but I knew that was just the beginning -- the beginning of my best friend's heart being broken.
