Authors note: Hi guys, I really hope you like this. This is a story i've been thinking about and building in my head for a little over half a year, my first official story yet. I hope you like it. x

"Yo what up twat face?" my supposed best friend, Elizabeth (goes by Ella), greeted me as I jumped in her blue mini van. Why would a 17 year old be driving a mini van? one might ask, her parents couldn't think of nor afford a better car for her birthday. "Hi to you too babe" I handed her a cup of coffee, two sugars and loads of milk, I make her each morning in exchange for the ride to school.

"Here is your sugar induced excuse of a cup of coffee" I tell her as she takes it from my grip.

"How long till that joke gets old?"

"As long as I bring you coffee, bitch"

She laughed as I took a sip of my own cup of coffee, black.

Me and Ella have divided this world into two people. The people who like their coffee simple (black, latte, cappuccino) and the people who get the venti iced decafinated caramel mocha frappuccino crap. Then there are the people who prefer books rather than movies and vice versa. This theory of course does not apply to all but we find it actually does make a whopping amount of sense in our surroundings.

We drove to school in comfortable silence, and a little bit of anxiety caused by our upcoming algebra test. Which my 10 year old sister already took and aced. Yes you read right, and no having a prodigy sibling is not the best way to boost your ego.

"I wish I could say I didn't have my little sister tutor me for this test" I groaned out loud as we stepped out of the car, Ella only snorting in response.

"You're not gonna stay that purty if you stress so much, my darlin" Kate appeared next to us, seemingly having overheard our conversation and apparently finding her horrible south American accent funny, still.

"Well you're not gonna stay so purty either if you keep using that accent sweet pea" I replied in my equally horrifying southern accent.

We split our ways from Ella who was headed for geometry.

"So, you sound excited for the test" Kate stated as we walked towards study hall.

"Oh no. My façade has been broken" I sarcastically snarled at her as we sat down in our seats and took our books out.

"You unfortunately were not born with the gifts and talents of an actress" Kate quipped and flipped her hair to the side. I snorted at her egotistical comment, referring to her own acting skill.

"Shut up, you've had one TV show and like seven commercials, you're not Meryl Streep"

"Yet." She firmly said and turned to her book as the teacher walked in.

"Alright settle down, settle down" the teacher, Ms. Wills, shouted, attempting to calm down the students. It took about three minutes for them shut their stupid mouths. "Okay, I know you have a huge algebra test coming up.. so I'm gonna be the great teacher who gives you a free extra period to study" some students groaned, some cheered.

"Wow, how generous of you Shelby, might as well shove a dish of donkey crap in our faces with a side dish of farts and tell us to eat it and then thank you for it" Chris, the stereotypical j(c)ock, shouted, with his identical smirk on might I add, causing the students to laugh. On the other hand making me cringe. Asshole

"Well since you seem to be so grateful, how about you thank me for the two hours of detention you've just earned yourself?" She smirked, the students hollered as Christian's face grew red. His jaw clenched and he looked away.
