The thing about parents is that they have horrible timing.

They drag you out to let's say, the mall, thinking you need to go out to feel better. And when you oppose to the idea they'll think you don't want to spend time with them. So, you have to put on the stupid facade called "I'm okay" again and try to live through an hour at the mall until you can finally go home. Except, even then your room isn't exactly sound proof so you're parents will definitely hear you screaming.

But what can you do? You can't exactly tell them you've been in love with your best friend of 5 years and he rejected you just like you predicted he would but it still hurts like a total bitch.

Ok, so you can tell them. But that would be really fucking awkward.

Bottom line, the thing about parents is that they don't know when to leave you alone.

After all, rejected is rejected and there's nothing you can do to change that.
