"We get a practice game against Aoba Johsai High School?! They're one of the top four volleyball teams in the prefecture!"
You sigh, trying to remember just how many people you know from Blue castle and how best to avoid them.
"Oh! You must be the two problem children, Hinata-kun and Kageyama-kun!"
"Yes, sir..."
"I'm Takeda Ittetsu, the new club adviser starting this year. I don't have any experience with volleyball, so I can't give you any technical instruction... but I'll do my best to help out in any other way I can. Good to meet you!"
"Sir!"
"I'm sorry I haven't been around lately. I've been so busy asking schools for practice matches directly..." Takeda says, rubbing the back of his head.
"Sensei, how on earth did you get a team like blue castle to agree," Suga asks.
"Don't tell me you had to grovel..?!"
"Oh no! Groveling is a specialty of mine, but I didn't have to use it this time."
"Sensei.." Daichi sweatdropped. "This time...?"
"But they did have one condition."
"A condition?"
"It involves Kageyama-kun. We have to have him play setter for the entire game."
"Huh?!" Tanaka goes on a rant while Suga thinks. You ruffle his hair, silently telling him everything will work out and be okay.
"Um..." Suga steps forward. "I think it's fine actually. We don't get this kind of chance very often."
"How can you be okay with it, Suga-san?! Karasuno's starring setter is you, bro. Not him!"
"... yeah, but.. I want to watch Hinata and Kageyama use their attack in a real game. And I want to see how far it can get us against one of the best teams in the prefecture." Suga and Daichi exchange eye contact before the captain turns to Takeda.
"Sensei, could you give us the details, please?"
"Okay. They scheduled it for really soon— next Tuesday. Their weekends are already full of other practice games, apparently. They couldn't spare much time, so we only get one game. We'll borrow one of the schools buses to get there. We're supposed to arrive by..."
You zoned out, staring at the gym floor. This kind of dampened your mood. You'd have to deal with someone extremely clingy...

You and Suga were walking home together, hands linked together. It was silent but not uncomfortable. Both of you a lot on your minds and being in each other's company made it better.
"Sugawara-san!"
You both turn around to see Kageyama running over.
"Thanks to that condition or whatever I automatically got put into the starting line up. But next time I'm going to earn that spot the real way!" Kageyama says in his over the top, aggressive way.
"Huh?"
"Wha?"
"Oh, um.. I was surprised because I thought I didn't even exist to you."
