Stanford Gleeful studied the paper on the table in front of him one last time, ensuring that all of the components of the spell were properly laid out. Satisfied, he placed a powerful gem on the inscribed circle in the bottom corner of the page. A glowing blue circle with interlocking lines appeared over the middle of the page and the six-fingered man gave a small smile. It was time.

Soft footsteps behind him indicated the spell's success and caused Stanford to smile. "Greetings," he said after turning to face the demon. The demon was tall and graceful with blue hair and eyes. He was wearing a white suit that had intricate details sewn in with silver thread.

Stanford gave a sweeping bow. "My name is Stanford Gleeful."

"Greetings, Mr. Gleeful," replied the demon as he returned the bow. "I am William Cipher."

"Please," replied Stanford with false sincerity, "call me Stanford."

"Then you may call me William, or Will if you prefer," the demon replied kindly. Stanford's grin widened a bit. Everything was going according to plan. Soft music was playing from the record player in the corner, and Stanford invited William to dance. As they danced, the two began a friendly discussion about various magics and spells. Then Stanford noticed William glancing at the flowers in another corner.

"Do you like them?" asked Stanford, motioning to a particular arrangement that William seemed to be staring at.

"They are beautiful."

"You may have them if you like."

William looked up, startled. "Really? No one's ever given me anything before."

Stanford gave the demon a smile and guided him to sit in a chair next to the flowers. "I have plenty in my gardens, why not share?" As he turned to grab the flowers, he noticed the document where he had written his air-tight deal. Time for the next phase. "Oh, I almost forgot!" He handed the bouquet to William and grabbed the contract. "I had summoned you to make a deal." Stanford willed his face to look sad. "Although, it is a bit more constricting than what I would like. I had no idea that the demon I summoned would be such a gentleman. It would take some time for me to revise it to something less strict."

"I'm sure it will be fine," William assured him. "I'll make do. It's not often that I get a kind summoner, it will be a pleasure to help you."

Gullible and naïve, just like all Stanford's books said. "Allow me to at least give you a token to remind you how much I, I care for you should the deal make things hard on us," requested Stanford. He grabbed a ring from its dish next to the spell. The ring appeared to be made of a simple band attached to a hollow triangle. The silver it was made of was enchanted to make William less likely to question things, be an anchor for the penalties of breaking portions of the contract, and increase his loyalty 'the six-fingered man named Stanford.' If his calculations were correct, it might even make the demon fall in love.

"As you wish," William said, and offered his left hand to Stanford.

After slipping the ring on and ensuring the contract (which William still hadn't seen - only told the basic requirements of referring to Stanford as 'Master,' 'Sir,' and other such terms of respect as well as helping with anything that the human may require until an unknown point in the future) was signed in all the proper places, Stanford said, "I should introduce you to my colleague, Fiddleford."

"Colleague?"

"Yes, he helps me with research and things."

"Lead the way." Stanford took William's hand and lead him through into the hallway. Unbeknownst to William, Fiddleford McGucket was hiding around a corner at the end of the hallway. Stanford paused near the end, allowing William to go further. The demon spun around gently, as he was still holding Stanford's hand.

"Is something wrong, Master Stanford?" William asked, his back to the corner where Fiddleford was hiding.

Stanford had to resist a grin at having such a powerful being refer to him as 'Master.' "There is something I need to fetch, if you will excuse me for a moment," Stanford replied. He began to turn, but not before he spotted Fiddleford completing his part of the plan.

Fiddleford stepped around the corner, a chloroform-soaked rag in his hand. William turned his head to the left to see what had made the noise, but it was too late as Fiddleford stepped to the demon's right and placed the rag over William's face, covering mouth, nose, and eyes.

William's hand slipped from Stanford's and he tried to remove the cloth from his face, breathing deeply and making muffled sounds in panic. Fiddleford remained firm as the demon slipped to the floor. Soon he was on his back between the two humans. If his vision wasn't so blurry, he would have seen sinister smiles on the men's faces. But as it was, all William saw was two unfamiliar blobs looking down on him.

"Don't worry," Fiddleford said. "He won't remember a thing."

A/N: Please, feel free to try and solve the cipher - but please don't comment anything about it if you go to Deatharising's original videos for the answer. That's rude to everyone who wants to solve it themselves.
