"My god...that lasted way too long;" Kageyama sighed as he entered his home, throwing his bag onto the couch and kicked off his shoes, not bothering to position them properly on the mat. He sulked as he walked towards the couch where his volleyball bag laid, half opened and a water bottle peeking out of it.

Sluggishly, he grabbed the remote and turned on the television, plopping onto the couch and lifting up the foot rest. He begrudgingly grabbed the water bottle and squeezed the last of it into his mouth before tossing it aside, trying to aim for the bag but barely missing. "I don't know why Hinata made me stay an extra three hours just to practice sets." He mumbled to himself.

"I love volleyball yeah but goddamn, I can't even feel my legs and barley my arms." He rubbed his shoulder, feeling his eyelids grow heavier by the second. "No no no don't sleep yet. Gotta at least shower. Wait. Why am I talking out loud to myself. I live alone what the hell??"

Kageyama mentally smacked himself and dug up the energy to force himself to his feet, grabbing his volleyball bag, and trudging towards his bedroom. It wasn't more than 15 steps as his apartment was small, just a living space big enough for a couch, coffee table and a recliner, kitchen, one bedroom and one bathroom. Yet, in his exhausted state, it felt like it went on forever.

As he entered his bedroom, he audibly sighed when he saw his boyfriend's jacket draped over his desk chair. He had been there the night before spending the night and always left something behind, no matter how many times Kageyama reminded him to bring his stuff with him. "Idiot."

He dropped his bag by the end of his bed and stepped into the bathroom to take a quick shower before putting on a grey t shirt and black sweatpants and making himself comfortable in bed, Hinata's hoodie beside him. As tired as he was, sleep was proving to be a daunting task. Twisting, turning, thrashing. Nothing was comfortable to him.

He felt a feeling that something was wrong in the deep depths of his heart, he had been for the last couple months. He thought Hinata was going to break up with him or something bad would happen to him, but it hadn't. There was no need to worry. That's what he'd been telling himself at least. It'd mostly been bugging him when he slept, and it was strong as ever tonight.

Until a thought struck his mind that he always thought of as stupid. He remembered how Yaichi, their team manager, had told the team during one of their post game dinners about how she slept hugging a stuffed animal of some sort when it was hard to sleep. Hianta had laughed at it, Kageyama soon after, thinking it was stupid at first, until he'd realized that it truly did have an effect by comparing how well he slept hugging Hinata at night vs without him.

"Can I seriously-" Kageyama sighed. "Worth a shot I guess." He squirmed out of bed and rose, slipping into his slippers and walked over to his closet. Slowly opening it, he was almost startled by the 2 foot bear that sat in the corner, untouched for the last month beside a small box. Hinata had been giving him an abundance of items lately for an unknown reason. His reasoning was "because I love you".

Kageyama didn't complain though. Hinata has always shown affection in that of many ways, it's just been more intense lately. Almost every other practice he was given a small trinket of some kind whether it was a rock, bracelet, small stuffed animal, book or a little love note. Kageyama kept it all in two boxes beside the big teddy bear Hinata gave him for Valentine's Day.

He leaned down, putting his hands under the bears arms, but hesitated, almost rethinking his plan as if he had someone watching him 24/7. Kageyama was always paranoid like that. "No it's nothing calm down." He continued, picking up the bear and pulling it onto his bed, positioning it so it was laying under the covers similar to how a human would.
