The precinct was bustling with activity. Chloe and Ella were chatting when Lucifer bound down the steps, shortly followed by a short brunette.

"LuLu!" she heard the brunette scream.

Followed by a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Ella noticed Chloe's disdain and turned to see what she was looking at. The brunette and Lucifer were talking excitedly, and as Chloe walked over, they said goodbyes and the girl left.

"Who was that?" Chloe asked.
"Oh, just and old friend."
"Mhm. Well we are at a work place so fraternizing with friends isn't something you should be doing."
"Why Detective, we fraternize at work all the time. But I suppose you're right, we should stop."

Chloe flushed crimson, then she cleared her throat.

"That's different, we're working while fraternizing."
"Mhm."
She rolled her eyes, "Come on, we have a case."
"M'kay. Uh could bring by my suit jackets by Lux after work."
"Yeah won't be a problem."

The sass stayed throughout the day. Chloe's thoughts couldn't be removed from that girl. Who was she? Why'd she call him LuLu? Why was she allowed to kiss his cheek? Who the hell did she think she was? Ella's voice brought her back.

"Decker, if you click that pen any more aggressively it might actually shoot out of the tip."
"Right, sorry."
"It's all good. What's on your mind?"

Chloe looked to make sure Lucifer was somewhere else.

"Who do you think that girl was earlier in the precinct?"
"An old friend like Lucifer said. Why are you so concerned?"
"Well, if they're that close, why haven't I heard of her?"
"Decker, you're jealous."
"No, I'm not."
"Look, if you wanna know so bad, just ask him."

Chloe nodded and refocused her attention. After work she swung by her house to pick up Lucifer suits before heading to Lux. The club was empty, as per usual at five p.m. on a Wednesday, and voices could be heard from within. As she moved forward she saw the brunette again.

"Dinner for Friday is all set!" The girl said.
"It's good right?"
"It's gonna be one of the best dates ever."

Lucifer smiled and the girl hugged him tightly.

"Bye LuLu!"
"By Doll."

The girl left the club using a different exit. Chloe moved towards the steps, anger bubbling inside.

"What was that?" She asked with more callous than she wanted in her voice.
"Oh, Detective, just setting up details for Friday."
"Whose Doll."
"An old friend. I told you."
"Fine, make up half truths. Here's your stupid jackets, when you wanna talk you know where to find me."
"Detective wait."

Chloe paused for a moment.

"Come to dinner with me on Friday."
"Lucifer-"
"Please."
She huffed. "Fine."

She dreaded Friday. But at least she'd be able to claim him. God, what were these thoughts, he's not an object. She dress attractively, but not too slutty because Lucifer knew her too well and would figure she was marking her territory.

The restaurant was nice, she'd give hike that, and once they were at the front, the host radioed back.

"Darcy your friends are here."

A few moments later the brunette walked out in a servers uniform.

"LuLu! Oh and this must be the girlfriend, I've heard so much about you."
"Funnily enough I've heard nothing about you!"

Lucifer coughed and Darcy stood at Chloe dumbfounded. She chuckled awkwardly before continuing.

"Okay, I see. Um let's clear the air real quick, I'm a lesbian. I have no desire to sleep with Lucifer, he did me a favor a while back, and we've been good friends ever since. This past week I was helping get reservations here, because it's crazy difficult to get one."

It was Chloe's turn to be silent. Her cheeks flooded with color again.

"Oh, oh my gosh this is so embarrassing."
"No, I get it. It's all good."
"No, I'm so sorry. It's not very goddess of me."

Darcy froze again and shook her head.

"Well I don't know what that means, but please let's get you two seated."

The restaurant was lovely. Not too fancy, but not too homely either. After sitting, Darcy explained their meal.

"Usually you pick off the menus, but Lucifer thought you'd enjoy something more special so I arranged with the chef a pre-set minute."
"I'm so sorry, but could you stop for one moment Darcy?" Darcy froze. "I treated you horribly, I feel bad. Is there anyway the chef could box our meals and add an extra one? I was hoping maybe you'd want to join us once your shift ends."
"Oh I don't get off until ten."
"That's okay, I just- please."
"Yeah. Sure, Just have Lucifer text me your address."

Chloe smiled. The drive back home was silent. Chloe felt terribly about treating Darcy that way, but hoped to make it up. They were home for a little under and hour when Darcy knocked. She probably lived close to restaurant, because she had managed to slip into something more comfortable.

"Please come in." Chloe said.

The opened the food and talked for hours. This made Chloe feel better, Darcy was great and it turned out she had a lot of embarrassing stories of Lucifer. Laughter carried through the house until around one.

"Oh, it's getting late. I should probably go."
"I'll walk you out." Lucifer said.

When they reached the front door, Darcy stopped.

"She's good, LuLu. Don't lose her."
"I try my hardest everyday not to."

Darcy smiled before hugging Lucifer. After, she kissed him once on the cheek.

"Bye Chlo!" She called.
"By Doll!"

After she had left, Lucifer walked back over to Chloe.

"Okay, I'll say it. You were right. I was jealous."
"Why though?"
"I dont know. I know you'd never do that to me. But something in my head could help it."

He bent down and kissed her softly.

"Well I hope you've learned your lesson."
"I have."
"Good. Let's go to bed."
