SAPNAP POV

"WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE YOU THINKING?!" Bad shouted, after they put Karl to sleep, they all got called in Toast's office to discuss what just happened "For once i agree with this muffin-head" Angela added, staring daggers at him "What made you think, considering the state of mind he's currently in, that telling him that his mother is now permanently stuck on a wheelchair and his father is dead was a good idea?!" 

"Both of you, quiet down, you're giving me a headache" Toast grumbled as he sighed "I hope you do realize the gravity of your actions Sapnap, I cannot just let this one slide" 

"I know... but he deserved to know" he said in an apologetic tone.

Sapnap knew that he would probably get banned from the facility for his actions, and so have to find another one in order to write his thesis. But that wasn't what he was worried about right now, in his head, the only thought that kept nagging him was that, if Toast really decided to ban him, then he wouldn't be able to see Karl anymore.

He didn't realize it, but it wasn't only Karl who needed him, it was also the other way around, they needed each other, but neither of them knew that yet.

"As much as I agree, you chose the wrong moment to tell him, you should have waited and let his mother tell him"

"And when? When will she be allowed in the facility to tell him?!" he said in an accusatory tone "We don't know when the investigation will be over! It could take a few months or go up to years! Do you really think it would be more traumatizing for him to find out right away that his father is gone or live in a lie for years!?" 

"Kid mind your tone!" Toast warned, standing up "I understand that you care about him, but don't forget that he's still a patient of this facility, do not overstep your boundaries" he warned, sitting back down.

"Now, for your punishment-"

"Will I be banned from the hospital?" he asked hesitantly, earning a glare from Toast "Do no interrupt me" if there was something that Toast really hated was getting interrupted when he spoke, luckily Sapnap took the hint and quieted down.

"As I was saying, you will be banned... for a week"

"WHAT?!" Bad shouted, scaring everyone "Why not forever!? What he did could have permanently traumatized Karl!" he growled.

"I agree with you Dr.Darryl, but..." he let out a long sigh, looking back at Sapnap "As much as I hate to admit it, he's the only one to whom Karl started to open up to, it took us weeks to even get him to nod, while he managed to make him talk after not even a week" he pointed out.

"B-but-"

"No buts, we as doctors need to worry about the well being of our patients first, and if his stay helps Karl recover, then I'll give him another chance" Sapnap's expression soon lit up with hope.
