"What do you mean by 'Victoria isn't the killer'?"

"We mean that Victoria isn't the killer, Alex, it's simple English." Claire said, all us of ignored her.

"We mean that Victoria didn't hit you with the shaft. She went home. Someone else hit you." Miranda said.

"Well, maybe she knew that Claire was following her and asked her partner or someone to throw the shaft at me." I said, the reason I was fighting was because I didn't want Victoria not to be the killer. Then we would have no other suspects.

"The chances are very low and I don't think that she would do that." Hanna said.

"Aha! But the chances are still there. You said that yourself just now." I said.

"No, I'm pretty sure that it's not her." Miranda said.

"Why you!" I bent forward and tried to punch one of them. The first thing that I saw was Hanna's face so I aimed for it. The moment I did, I felt this sharp, piercing pain spread through my back. "Ow!" I screamed and rested back in bed.

"Alex, do you even know what happened to you?" Hanna asked.

"No." I grimaced.

"The shaft hit your back, Alex," Hanna said, "nothing happened to your bone or anything though the shaft was extremely pointy. It cut your skin and you started bleeding pretty badly. Instead of a pile of skin, you became a pile of bloody-skin and not to mention that you fainted too. You gave us a heart attack. The cut is across your back. It's about two inches and is very wide-"

"Two inches!" I jumped up and felt the familiar pain return. Hanna pushed me back.

"You need to relax." She said.

"Don't touch me," I said, "you're not supposed to."

Just then, the doctor came in. He saw my face and realized what had just happened.

"Ah, I see," he said, "you've finally realized why you're here. Don't worry. I've patched up everything. The cut will heal with rest. I think you're okay to go but just don't bend your back much and don't jump." I got up slowly, trying not to bend my back. I'm pretty sure that it looked funny. My friends and I left.

That was the most pain I could bear. Even my splitting headaches and stomach aches aren't as painful as this. I can't even describe it.

This is what I deserve, I thought and went home, that is, to Hanna's house, in pain.
