After school, we just went to Hanna's house. Whatever I had told Victoria was a lie. I had just wanted to knock her down. She thinks that she is the most popular person in the school but everyone hates her guts, though they'll never admit it.
"... to talk to you, Alex," I heard Miranda say as I tuned back in, "We,-"
"Alex, honey, are you in there?"
"Mom?" I jumped up and ran out of then room. There stood my mom and dad.
"Mom!" I yelled and I hugged her, "Dad!" I then hugged him too.
"Hello, sweetheart." He said.
"You got your memory back."
"Yeah, I did. I can't believe that I could ever forget you." I let go of him.
"So are you guys finally back?" I asked.
"Yeah, we are." My mom said.
"Brinda, Brinda! We need to talk to you!" I heard Hanna yell. She call my mom by her name.
"Hanna! So good to see you! And you too, Miranda and Claire!" She said as Miranda and Claire came out, "Yeah, Hanna, what is it that you want to tell us?"
"Do you remember that brick that almost... fell on Alex?" I had a feeling Hanna had been about to say 'killed'.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Well, after that, at Alex's dinner party, someone threw a knife at Alex and later an umbrella shaft."
"What? Alex, are you alright? Did you get hurt? Oh my god, when did this happen? Why did nobody tell me?" She hugged me while all I did was make a face.
"I'm fine mom, really." I said.
"Are you sure?" My dad came over and asked.
"Yeah dad, I'm sure."
"Alright but I think that you should tell the police about it."
"Mom, we don't-"
"Oh yes we do. I'm not going to stand by and let someone harm my daughter."
"Okay, we'll tell them tomorrow mom. Where are we staying?" She looked at my dad.
"For the time being, we're staying here at Ashley's. We've made arrangements with her. We're going to have to stay here for a while. I don't know how long. Maybe a few day, weeks, months. Who knows?" I nodded when my mom finished.
I suddenly felt this urge to find out who was trying to kill me. My perfect life, as perfect as it could get with Victoria, had been turned completely upside-down.
