"A guardian deity...?!" Hinata fidgets, getting lost in his thoughts like usual. He was practically sparkling at the thought of another prodigy.
"We have other team members still?" Kageyama asks.
"Yeah. We do." Suga looked like he was caught up in the past.
Kageyama looked at you, noticing the same expression.
You hadn't spoken to either of them since the whole incident...
"Hey, guys? The vice principle will get mad if we're late! Let's go!" Takeda yells, waving his arms up in the air from his spot next to the bus.
You ended up sitting with Ennoshita this time. Halfway home, he fell asleep with his cheek against your shoulder.
Suga and Daichi were sitting in front of you, turned around the whole time.
The bus hit a pothole and Ennoshita fell into your lap, not stirring one bit. He must be really tired or some shit.
Suga pouts, looking away.
"Oh, come on, Suga. You're always so jealous~" you place your hand in his hair, gently twirling it around your pointer finger.
Daichi grabs your attention and you end up going into an in depth conversation about the game.
When you arrived, you realized that suga had fallen asleep. Once you remove your hand, he wakes up.
"Okay! A little light cleaning and we'll be done!" Takeda says.
Hinata was dozing off while standing up.
"Sensei, thanks for everything today," Daichi says.
"No problem. Good work. Finally getting to watch you all play... I was really surprised! I mean, after hearing so much about how good a team Aoba Johsai is, we went and beat them. Their players and their coaches all watched us with their jaw hanging open. I have to admit I felt really proud about that."
"But... we still aren't good enough. Thanks to Hinata and Kageyama getting their combo going, our offense clicked today. But if someone finds a way to completely stuff Hinata or if our receiving gets disrupted, there won't be anything we can do to stop it. And if that really does happen, I'm not sure how well I'll be able to step up and direct things like a coach would be able to... sorry! I didn't mean to imply you weren't up to the job either, Sensei!"
"Ha ha ha! It's okay, it's okay. Leave it to me to find a proper coach. I have a hopeful lead actually."
"Really?"
"I've already asked him a few times, but he still hasn't quite agreed just yet. But don't worry. I'll find some way to make it work. Anyway, can I leave the rest of the clean up to you?"
Daichi blinks. "Yes, sir."
"'Kay. G'night!"
"Whoa. Take-chan actually sounds dependably for once!"
"Yeah."
Inside the storage closet, Tadashi found a broken mop.
"Excuse me! I found a broken mop, and it looks dangerous! Can I throw it away?"
"No! Not that one! Just leave it."
Suga's yell captures your attention. You see the mop and take one half from Tadashi.
