EVERYONE POV

"Can you please stop that?" Bad asked "Stop what?" Angela asked back

"This!" he pointed at the tree in which she was currently standing on, she had climbed on one of the branches and had been scouting the area around where the kids were playing ever since they got there.

"How did you even manage to get that high up?! It's dangerous!" Angela just rolled her eyes "Please, I'm a doctor, I can heal myself if I get hurt, besides" she grinned "Do you really think that I would get hurt from a measly 2 meters fall" she said as she jumped down, landing smoothly "See?"

"My point still stands, don't do that again please, it's hard enough to look after those kids, I don't want to have to look after you as well" he grumbled, making her chuckle "Fine, I won't"

"Uhm..." a voice behind them called, startling both doctors, and causing them to turn around sharply "Sapnap?!" Angela shouted as she saw him awkwardly wave at her "Hi?" 

"I need to add 'Stealthy as fuck' to your character profile" she gasped out "Holy shit you scared the life out of me" Sapnap just laughed at her joke "Nice to see that you've calmed down after three days"

"Oh just because I look calmer it doesn't mean I'm not pissed at you Sap, remember that" she said with a glare "What do you want?"

"I-uhm... wanted to see how Karl was doing" he hesitantly said, fidgeting with his fingers, Bad sighed, looking back at where said boy was "He hasn't moved ever since we arrived, Ranboo and the others tried to cheer him up a bit but he didn't even acknowledge them" he said in a sad voice.

"Yeah, you really did a number on him Sap, congrats" Angela said sarcastically "Was I supposed to not tel-"

"Look, I am with you on the fact that he should have been informed about his father's death and his mother's current condition, but you shouldn't have brought it up so suddenly, he is still a patient, his mind is still fragile, you know that better than anyone else" she said, causing Sapnap to fall quiet for several minutes.

"Can... can I go to him?" Bad and Angela exchanged a look "Toast banned him from the facility for a week" she pointed out "He didn't ban him from going to him outside of the facility though" he said with a wink, making Angela roll her eyes "Fair point" she adverted her gaze away from him and towards the nervous boy standing beside her.

"Go, just remember that I've got my eyes on you, so don't try anything funny or I'll come and clout you, got it?"

"Yes ma'am! Thank you ma'am!" and with that, he left, running towards Karl with a large smile on his face "DO NOT CALL ME LIKE THAT! IT MAKES ME FEEL OLD!!" she shouted after him, but he was long gone.

"To be fair, we are older than h-ouch!" Bad didn't get to finish as Angela punched his arm "Shut it you muffin"

SAPNAP POV

Karl was sitting on a bench alone, his gaze low to the ground, counting the blades of grass, so he didn't even notice when someone sat down beside him.

"🎶" 

He immediately lifted his head, seeing Sapnap smile at him "Hi dud-" he got tackled in a tight hug, Karl burying his face deep in Sapnap's shirt, shaking a bit.

"I'm sorry..." Sapnap muttered "I shouldn't have unleashed such a heavy news all at once on you, it was my mistake" Karl shook his head, he tried to whistle but seeing that he had started to cry, it made it difficult.

Luckily, Sapnap had a solution.

"Here, I brought this, figured you might need it" he handed him his notebook, alongside with a pen. After about a minute, Karl released his friend from the hug and took the notebook, bringing his legs to his chest and curling up in a ball, his head still placed against Sapnap's chest as he wrote.

'Where were you?'

"I got punished for what I did, can't come to the hospital for a week, so for the next four days you won't see me there, but don't worry, once the week is passed I'll be back as always" he assured with a smile.

'Will you get fired?'

"I'm not an employee, so they can't fire me technically" he said with a small laugh "But the boss did warm me that if I pull another stunt like that he will have me arrested sooo..." he rubbed his neck "Let's just say I'm on thin ice right now"

"..."

"Are you mad at me?"

"..."

"Because if you are then you have every right to be"

"..."

"Do you... want me to leave?"

"..."

Sapnap sighed, he was about to stand when he felt Karl's hand grab a hold of his sleeve, tugging him back down. That simple action made him smile,he was happy to know that his friend still wanted him close.

"Do you wanna talk, write or whistle? If not that's fine, we can just spend time together in silence" he proposed.

Karl hummed, writing something on the notebook.

'Will you promise me something?'

"Anything"

'Will you... always stay with me... always?'

"I promise" his answer was instant, there wasn't a moment of hesitation nor second thought behind it, he just spoke the simple and clear truth.

Karl blushed a bit, hiding his face in Sapnap's shirt again.

"Thank you" he mumbled, although his voice was muffled, Sapnap heard him loud and clear "Anytime dude" he said with a happy smile, he didn't know why, but recently, whenever he was around Karl, his heart would start to speed up a bit, but he brushed it off as excitement of seeing his friend after almost 3 days.

"Wanna go beat the shit out of the others at Uno?" Karl smiled, although Sapnap couldn't see it "Mhm" he gently took his hand and pulled him up, walking towards the rest of the group.

"Hey guys!" he called, waving at them and catching their attention "Sapnap!"

After a brief explanation and an apology they all got playing.

"Where is George?" he asked, not seeing him here.

"Him and Sam went for a walk around, they should be back anytime soon"
