That Which Led You Here

Yes, it's a crack trope, but I don't know how else to put these guys in this situation AND give you dad-zuku at the same time. Hopefully, I managed to make it less trope-y though. :)

Izuku was running late- how had he managed to sleep right through all three of his alarm clocks!?

He struggled to pull on his sneaker as he stumbled out the front entrance to the dorms, nearly tripping over himself as he finally slipped his shoe on and hoisted his backpack up more securely over his shoulder.

The sun was shining in the sky above him but he didn't have the time to take it all in- class started in 5 minutes, and he was still a 15-minute walk from the main campus.

"Of all the days," he mumbled to himself, shaking his head at himself.

The green-haired boy groaned and tightened his backpack straps, powering up One For All in his legs in preparation to sprint the whole way there.

Hopefully, if he pushed himself to use at least 12%, he could make it on time. Aizawa Sensei might give him a look for coming in the door right as the bell rang, but at least he'd be on time.

Midoriya took off in a flash of green lightning, leaving the dorms in the dust as he rocketed down the mountain.

Aizawa wasn't looking forward to today.

They'd be covering hostage situations in class today, and he could already feel the headache that would inevitably come forward whenever Bakugo and his crew got their chance at the exercise.

He muttered to himself about the things he had to deal with before turning the corner and heading towards his classroom.

He could hear Iida trying his best to calm the teenagers down from there and really wished he'd taken Mic up on his offer of coffee this morning.

He took in a deep breath as he got to the door, steeling himself before sliding it open and walking inside.

The class was immediately silent, though Kirishima and Mina were still standing on either side of Bakugo, frozen mid-poke with their fingers still touching his cheeks.

"You should be seated when the bell rings," he said, as he did every day, before turning his attention towards his desk.

"But the bell hasn't rung yet, Aizawa Sensei," Uraraka said from her seat.

Just then, the shrill sound of the school bell rang out, causing Aizawa to glance back at the teenagers. Bakugo's palms were smoldering and both Mina and Kirishima were in their seats, the latter currently trying to wipe the soot on his face away with his sleeve.

The pro hero paused at the sight of an empty desk behind the explosive blonde, raising a brow and glancing around the room.

"Where's Midoriya?" He asked, instinctively looking towards Uraraka and Iida.

"We have no idea, Aizawa Sensei- he missed breakfast this morning too," Uraraka replied as Iida nodded in agreement.

"I'm surprised he wasn't up before the sun exercising like normal," Kaminari said, leaning back in his desk slightly.

"Everyone deserves a day off every once in a while," Yaoyarozu replied.

"Well, today's not the day to skip class. We're handling hostage situations today. Get your gym clothes on and meet me in-"
