Draco didn't know what to do. How to do it. What do you do when a first year gets abducted by who-the-bloody-hell-knows-whats? Do you just chase after the creatures that disappeared into thin air? Draco wasn't sure, but he was on his feet, his knees weak but not giving out, running to the place Cammie had just sat, slashing his fingers through the empty space where she had just been. The air that bristled under his nails as they swiped at the nothingness almost felt like strands of Cammie's choppy hair.

Draco opened his mouth and released a beastly sound somewhere between a grunt and a sob, nervous sweat and tears already trickling down his upper lip and into his mouth. He hadn't even realized he was crying until the saltiness tinged his tongue. Draco just fell to his knees. He'd been meaning to do that ever since the first time this happened. Cammie was gone. He should've protected her.

Hermione put her hand on Draco's shoulder suddenly, but he was too devastated to even startle at the touch. "Draco," she soothed.

But her words weren't soothing enough.

Draco burst into sobs, extremely aware of the entire Great Hall's eyes on him as a few terrified teachers scurried around, yelling, trying to figure out what-in-the-hell just happened. Draco should've been up there, frantic, helping. But he couldn't.

He just laid on the floor, useless yet again.

Ah yes, I realize how poorly written my story has been thus far. HOWEVER, I am on a temporary leave from dance (don't get your hopes up, it's only a week.) And that doesn't include the dancing at my school and modeling dancewear and final exams). But I'd like to shove in a few slightly-better chapters in during this week and start to finish up then story! Don't be too sad, though, because this story will undergo some SERIOUS editing and be ready for rereading hopefully by the end of this millennium. Anyways, enjoy! Thanks again for bearing with me! I love you all!!!
