Sorry, this is just an expression of gratitude, if you don't want to read it, don't. I've actually seen this story get 2.34K reads and that is absolutely amazing. I never thought someone would actually want to read this piece of y'know what and enjoy it. So thank you, and you, and you.

Marco's POV~

"C'mon Sandra pick the damn phone up." He said as he gritted his teeth together. Sandra had walked out of the apartment they had been sharing for the past few months. Marco of course chased her, but a small lead of a few seconds could actually mean life or death. Once Marco was able to take in what just happened, Sandra had already walked out of the apartment. And once he had been able to exit his apartment, she was already out of the complex.

Marco Reus was actually terrified at the thought of what Sandra Götze could do to herself while he was chasing her. Mario and Marco both made an agreement that Sandra could stay witn Marco if only she was safe. And right now, Marco wasn't keeping Sandra safe.

Marco was damn sure once Mario finds out, he'll be crying for Marco to sort it out. Marco wanted this mishap to be over as fast and as clean as possible. If only Sandra could pick up.

"Hallo, Marco?" Sandra sniffled on the line. She wasn't in a good situation either. She was a crying wreck, tears that fell on her cheek just had to be wiped off. If she didn't, well, they'd freeze on her face. Winter was fast approaching and the chill winds started to turn to winds that would cool you down to the bone.

"Oh danke you answered. I've been trying to call for the past few minutes. By the way, where are you right now?" Marco was in his car, ready to spring into action if Sandra would give her location. (Hehehe that rhymed.)

"I'm heading over to where Mario and I used to hang out as kids." Sandra lied. She wanted space. Space from all the ties and bonds to her parents. And Marco was in one of them.

"Do you remember that place Marco? Über by that lake." Sandra described the place. "By nights like these usually water would turn into very thin ice. Mario and I always liked cracking it and seeing it turn into a thousand cobwebs of mess."

By the sound of it, Marco assumed that Sandra wasn't actually heading over there. He knew something was up. Marco could tell whether Sandra was lying or not. But he had to sound convinced. "Alright yeah, I'm heading over there. Should be a few minutes. Wait, where is this lake?"

"Oh it's by my old apartment, yeah? Just head over there and pass a block. That should be my family home. The lake is at the back of the Götze residence."

~~~
And by some miracle, Sandra was there. Like she said where she would be. Sitting down on the soft snow. Staring down at the numerous cobwebs she had formed by slightly touching the thin layer of ice. It reminded her of her family, but it was as close as an aspiring or a stress ball to Sandra. She could remember her childhood memories with Mario, just casually sitting down. Popping a finger into the ice and seeing it break. It was all wonderful.
Marco carefully approached her. He didn't want to startle Sandra with heavy footsteps. Despite his efforts, Sandra heard his footsteps and turned her head. A small smile was imprinted on her lips.
Marco sat down beside her and put an arm around her shoulder blades. He wanted to share warmth on this cold winter night, and due to his rush of blood, forgot to bring his coat.
"You know, sometimes I feel so fragile. I feel like if someone destroyed one little thing in my life, it would all fall apart." Sandra reflected.
"Is that why you brought me here? The cobwebs of cracked ice? Do they symbolise your life?" Marco Reus suddenly felt so smart.
"Well err.....yeah why not. Let's go with that. It's better than any explanation I could ever make up." Sandra confessed. A silent laugh and a golden smile which showed her dimples etched themselves on her face. Marco couldn't resis the clingyness that he was feeling right now.
"I was wondering, why did you and Mario visit this place so often? Does it hold any value to you?" Marco wondered aloud.
"I don't really know. We just did." Sandra whispered.
"Let's get you home."
~~~

Marco put Sandra in four layers of clothing, with two coats on, she was mighty warm. They had resolved the problem and hadn't told Mario. There was no need.

After the two had taken hot showers, they had eaten a warm meal. Marco even made some hot chocolate for the both of them to warm themselves up.

"Good night Sandra. Sleep tight...and warm."

"Night Marco, you sleep well too."

As Sandra opened her door, she had a smell of Marco's favorite coat. It smelled like home. Her home.

And for once, Sandra felt that her life wasn't made of ice. She felt that her problems were the ice. With one touch, she could make them vanish.

With one touch, she could have ended her life as well.

A/N. This came out wayyy to late. I just wanted to spell check everything. Oh and For Queen and Country||Gemma Arterton is out! It's my new story that I will be updating and working on once this has reached 15 chapters. I don't plan this to be that long and I don't like dragging on a story if I don't feel inspired. Kindly check out my Gemma Arterton fanfiction if you could spare some time. Thanks for the love and support as always.
