Chapter 3

Kelsey's POV

I felt something on me. I pushed it off while I still had my eyes shut. Rolling around, I tried to feel for my blanket but failed. As I opened my eyes, I noticed Chloe and Liz sleeping next to me.

"FUCK FUCK FUCK OMG FUCKING HELL YOU GUYS! WAKE THE FUCK UP NOW!" I screamed at Chloe and Liz as I noticed the clock which showed 9.37am.

When they rolled over and continued sleeping, I screamed again, "WAKE UP YOU BITCH! IT'S 9.37! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE IN SCHOOL TWO HOURS AGO!"

Chloe and Liz scrambled to their feet, grabbing their bags. We ran to my car and we quickly sped off to school. We looked like crap. It was obvious we're so hungover. There's like 20 minutes until our first class in the morning is over and then it's break. We had around one hour so we decided to go to the nearby mall to fix out appearances. We changed our clothes and got our hair and make up fixed.

We went back to school and told our other friends what actually happened. We finished the rest of our classes and gathered at Kendall's house. It's Thursday meaning it's movie day and for this week it's Kendall's turn. We ordered pizza and picked a movie. For today we're watching Fast & Furious 6. Movies like this make me so excited.

"Oh hey guys, did you hear about the party Jennifer is having tomorrow night? She invited all of us," Kendall told us super excited.

"Yeah we'll be there," I smiled at Kendall answering for Chloe and Liz.

"Wait wait wait. There's a party tomorrow night?" Paul asked Kendall.

Kendall nodded at Paul.

"But Richard is having a party tomorrow and invited you guys too," Paul whined while looking at Chloe with his puppy eyes which never works but he thinks it does.

"Sorry love but I'm going to Jeniffer's with them tomorrow. You can go for Richard's and please tell him we're sorry we can't make it," Chloe said to Paul.

Paul just nodded and just when we're done with our conversation the doorbell rang and THE PIZZA WAS HERE. I love pizza A LOT. The movie started and we all sat together like a huge family. I love my friends so much I don't know what I'd do without them. I got up and went to get my favorite ice cream, Baskin Robins mint chocolate chip from the fridge. Kendall always makes sure he has that ice cream when I came over everytime. I guess that's why we're best friends.

We decided to just sleepover at Kendall's as we were all too lazy to go home. Thank god we slept early without being drunk and praise the lord for having at least one morning person among us. We got to school early the next day and tried to survive the classes. After that we all went home to get ready for the party.

I took a shower and decide to just blow-dry my hair. I always liked the natural, messy look of mine. I wasn't exactly in the mood to be wearing anything girly. I pulled on my best skinny jeans and wore a white tank top with my leather jacket. I used black eyeliner and dark grey eyeshadow along with dark maroon lipstick to have a biker chic look. I'm definitely taking my bike tonight but that's not gonna stop me from wearing my fav low cut wedged boots. I got my phone and the keys to my bike and left for Kendall's house as we all agreed to meet there. Upon seeing me on my bike, Kendall screamed, saying he wants a ride from me.

"You guys are mad. I'm gonna get Sophie to come fetch me. Chloe you can come along with us," Liz said to me and Kendall rolling her eyes.

Once Sophie arrived, we all left for Jennifer's party. There was no food at all. Only snacks and lots of drinks. We had a few drinks. I especially couldn't drink too much or I would have to abandon my bike. All of a sudden, I heard a very familiar voice. It was Layton's. I knew I had to leave. I don't want to need to face him but it was already too late. He found me in the kitchen and pushed me against the door.

"Hey babe. Did you miss me? Considering how you got me expelled, you should be sorry. Now how about you use that beautiful body of yours to try and make me happy," Layton was smirking and started dragging me upstairs.

He got into the nearest empty room, pulling me along. He pinned me down on the bed and started kissing me. I could smell the alcohol in his breath. His breath stank and I hate him when he does this. I started screaming hoping someone might hear me. I kneed him in his crotch trying to get away but I only earned a slap from him. My eyes stang with tears and I started screaming again. I heard the front door open and felt someone pull Layton off me. I could tell someone was punching him. I sat on the side of the bed trembling.

The figure came over and sat next to me. He touched my face and I flinched. I turned my face to find a panting James Brighton looking worriedly at me. I looked down embarrassed. He had messy dirty blond hair and a medium-sized built. He was in a plain shirt, jeans and Vans. He looked even hotter when he's panting.

"Thanks James," I mumbled as I was afraid he'll hurt me like River always did.

"Hey look at me. Let me look at your face. Are you okay?" he questioned with a hint of worry in his voice.

He grabbed both sides of my face and turned to face him. I was facing him but I could only look away as I was embarrassed. Gently, he touched the scratch I got from Layton slapping me just now.

"Umm I need to leave. Thanks James. See you around," I mumbled and left immediately.

I went downstairs, told my friends what happened and we decided to leave and go to Richard's party instead. He invited us all after all. Richard's party is such a hot mess of sweaty people kissing and some already passed out on the lawn. Chloe started looking for Paul.

"Oh hey Chloe. Paul's upstairs," Richard told Chloe when he saw us.

James's POV

I saw her struggling. I had to help her. She seemed afraid of me though. When she left, I saw her phone on the bed. It must've fallen out when Layton was pinning her down. I took her iPhone6 and held it in my hand.

I decided I'll just return her phone later on. That would give me another reason to have a conversation and listen to her talk.
