The smell of fresh paper and wet ink, a blank page filled with lines waiting for someone to cover it with words.
This is how our story starts, not with "once upon a time," no. This story isn't filled with cuddly teddy bears, fairy godmothers, knights in shining armor, or damsels in distress. Its the story of a girl who always appears to happy, who keeps her true feelings about life tucked away deep inside the darkest corners of her heart. If you could take a peek at this girls heart, it might look like a patchwork quilt, beat up and worn out from life's trials and hardships, yet beating strong as if it knows there is so much more to life.
To tell the story of Avery Parker, the whole story-not just the parts that tickle the mind and make you smile-we will have to go into much unpleasantness. If you don't like to cry over a story then perhaps this tale is not for you. But if you would like to read about a young woman with seemingly no future, with dreams she can barely keep inside her head, and about the deepest love that a heart has to offer, then I welcome you.
