The Girl With Glowing Eyes

I am Tyler Manalo. I am 16 years old. I just moved over 3,000 miles to the sunny San Diego, California.

"Dad, why did we have to move away from our real home?"

"Son, this is our real home now and we moved for my work. In this economy we need as much money coming as we can get."

Ya right, this is just another one of your excuses to take me from mom. I didn't say that out loud cause it would start another fight with dad and we were already unpacked at our new house.

Tomorrow was my first day in my new high school and I was dreading it. Another new school. That is now 6 in the last year.

I crawled in bed and thought about what school would be like tomorrow. Would the teachers be mean old ladies? Or strict beautiful women? I thought about this right up until I fell asleep.

My alarm went off making me jump out of bed so quick I got lightheaded. Today was my first day of California school.

I drove myself to school but there wasn't anywhere to park so I had to park on the street. When I got out of my car everyone stared. I even noticed this blonde with glowing green eyes starring at me in awe.

I went to first class and got a seat. Then it happened. The girl in the parking lot with the green eyes came over and sat with me! My first day an I had a hottie sitting by me!!

I finally got a good look at her face. She had blonde hair, with tan skin and glowing green eyes that were like nothing I have ever seen before. She smiled and said "hi" in a voice of silk.

"Hi", I replied.

"My name is Lilac".

"Oh, um my name is Tyler".

She smiled and started working. My heart was beating so fast I thought I would faint. I was in the first hour of school on my first day and I had already fallen in love.

I ran in the house and up to my room. I had to tell my friend back home, well at my ex-home I guess it could be called, about Lilac.

(I logged onto my online chatroom)

TylerM16: hey dude

NaterT16: hey!

TylerM16: I was just at school..

NaterT16: what happened?!

NaterT16:did u get in trouble?

TylerM16: no! I met a girl.

NaterT16: what?! What is she like

TylerM16: she is amazing

NaterM16:is that all I get?

TylerM16: ill tell u later gtg

I heard my dad walk inside. He was home from work late. I heard another voice, too. The voice was so smooth it sounded like silk. Wait I know this voice! Wait! What is Lilac doing in my house?!

"Hey Tyler! I'm home and out neighbor, Lilac, just came over to bring us some dinner!"

She brought us dinner?!

"Oh, hey dad. Just a sec. I'll be down in like just a sec!"

"Are you ok, Tyler?"

"Yes! Fine! Stay down there! I'm almost..... Here I come!"

I was downstairs heading to the kitchen when I heard that Lilac was still here.

"Hey dad! Hi Lilac."

"Hi Tyler! I didn't know that you were my new neighbor! I saw you at school today!! O! I brought over some casserole for you and your dad! And I hope you two don't mind that I stay for dinner????"

"No! We don't mind at all! After all we wouldn't be eating at home right now if it wasn't for you!" Dad blurts out.

"Oh, Tyler you can't leave the table without veggies! Lilac? Would you like some veggies??"

"NO!!! Oh I mean no thank you!"

Wow, Lilac freaked when dad mentioned vegetables. That is so weird. I made a mental list of things about her:

1. She has eyes that glow!

2. She has a voice like silk

3. She hates veggies

4. She is amazing

Gosh. This is the girl of my dreams!

The next day I got up as usual and drove to school. I got out of my car and Lilac ran over to me.

"HI" she squealed.

"Um, hello?"

Then she just smiled really big and walked away. I could feel my cheeks getting really red. Everyone was staring. Probably because I am a new kid who gets more attention from the most pretty, and popular girl in the school.
