Chapter 12

"Ahhhhhhhhh STOP IT!!! Or I'll cry!!" I said fake weeping while tugging onto my 'I have seen the future' shirt.

Brian had been yelling and screaming in my ear since the past 15 minutes. He just wouldn't let me lay on my bed asleep in my perfect state of bliss.

"Wakieee wakieee"
"Sskkyyyyyyyy time to rise and shine"
"Skyyyy"
"Illll throw you off your bed"

"Shut up Brian or I'll fake break up with you " I smirked and threw the pillow over my head to cover my ears. This had become my daily threat, and he fell for it every time, either that or he was pretending.

"Fine. Have it your way." And before I could even think about what he said, he put his hands on the bed. One under my back and the other under my legs and he lifted me up in his arms.

"Oh my god!! Leave me down Brian" I didn't expect him to pick me up. I moved around and tried to jump out of his arms but he had a good grip. I didn't give up and kept fighting him.

"Sky I swear on god if u don't stop I'll be forced to take harsh measures. Then late don't cry"

"Leaveee me down!! I wanna sleepppppp" I moved around in his arms like a baby trying to come our of its cradle.

Brian held me tight and carefully descended from the staircase. He threw me on the nearest couch and.... as I had feared, he started his tickle war.

"Nononoono pleaseeee ahhhhh stopp ittt" I couldn't help but laugh. I hated being tickled and the biggest regret of my life was when I told Brian that. Brian ticked my tummy and neck so much that tears rolled down my eyes. But whenever I opened my mouth to tell him to stop, my laugh overwhelmed my words.

"Briiiaa ahahahah sttoooahahah" I laughed and laughed and laughed.

My hands were to busy trying to cover my tummy from his malicious fingers. So I decided to use my feet. Tough times call for tough measures.

I kicked Brian away in one stroke and finally took a deep breath.

"Are you sleepy now?" he raised his brow.

"Nono I promise I'm not, just please stay away" I sat up on the couch.

"Good, now go get ready " he commanded and I obeyed.

"Yes sir!" I saluted and ran to my room.

"Oh by the way, I have to tell you something." I was on the stairs when I stopped to listen to what Brian had to say.

"You look cute when you sleep in those shorts" he smirked.
"But you'd look cuter if you slept without them ." he ginned even more.

"Ugh, if only I had a dime for every time you snuck out a perverted remark." I rolled my eyes and walked away.

Brian was my cousin Jake's friend and Jakes parents had gone for their 61937515181926th honeymoon so he was staying with us for a while. Jake didn't go to our school but Brian and Jake met on an online dating site. The story went somewhat like this. A month back Jake and brian individually went on a dating website to have a little fun. Jake pretended to be a 26 year old model from New Jersey and Brian pretended to be a 35 year old business manager. They both decided to meet at a cafe for lunch, to prank each other. They both laughed heavily when they realised how they themselves were made a fool off. And were surprised when they realised that I was a common acquaintance. Ever since then they were inseparable.

Jake had invited Brian over for a sleep over the previous night. They both had had a bet that if Brian could wake me up, jake would give him all his ps3 games for a month. That's why Brian was hell bent on waking me up.

But thank god he woke me up, because today was the day for the Snow White play results and I needed to be in school on time.

Half an hour after getting almost tickled to death, I came back ready for school. Brian and I drove to school together and I was soo nervous that I started shaking my leg vigorously (I only did that when I was scared or had butterflies in my stomach).... Brian clasped my hand into his while driving to school and told me that i would get the role. Brian himself was super confident about his role and that was the only thing that kept me going.

After the 5 minutes of complete torture we reached school and I ran out of the car inside the school, towards the drama board. I squeezed myself threw the eager crowd that had collected in front of the board. My eyes scanned the board for the announcement notice.

No sooner had I seen the notice than I stood frozen in shock and blurted out a few words.

"Oh my god! No wayy!" I was horrified and a certain frown came over my face.

'Ceśt la vie' I thought to myself.
