Hyunjin's POV:

"What?" I raised an eyebrow at what I just heard. Did he really say he wants to take over the Hwang Group?

"You heard me." He said firmly and I found myself clenching my fists and teeth.

"Was that your intention ALL THOSE YEARS?!" I finally snapped.

"Well...surprise surprise~" he smiled which I know by now that it's completely fake.

All of it was fake.

He's insane

Then Chan spoke, "And what do you plan to do in order to achieve your messed up desire?"

"I'm glad you asked." He chuckled slightly, "You see, I've been adding some substance to the old man's coffee everyday. You can imagine the rest."

"What? What substance?!" I asked with worry.

"Poison."

"WHAT?!" We all yelled in shock.

I pushed Minho and Changbin away as I went and grabbed him by his collar again harshly, "TF ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HIM?!"

"Well, yeah, I have to get rid of him in order to take his place. I thought it was obvious..."

"YOU ARE A PSYCHOPATH!" That's when I finally punched him hard in his smug face, making him land harshly on the floor as the rest pulled me back again with force.

He chuckled while rubbing the blood off his lips and standing up, "Don't you see how blind all of you turned out to be? Or am I too good? *laughs*"

"Tell us how." Spoke Minho.

Jinyoung turned to him, "How what?"

"How did you put poison in the Chairman's coffee everyday for over a year and he's still alive right now?"

Minho got a point

"Heh...that's the smart part. The poison I've been giving him is extremely mild and its effects start to show and take action after a long time of consuming it. It slowly weakens the heart until it gradually stops. Fascinating, isn't it? Good thing I studied about chemicals."

At that point, Jinyoung was on the floor again while I punched the hell out of him. He didn't even hit back. He was just laughing like the maniac he turned out to be.

And after the guys pulled me back again before I seriously killed him, he stood up and opened the front door,
"As for Yeona, I have other plans to deal with her. Oh and if you thought about calling the police," he smirked, "she'll be following your grandfather."

*front door closes*

I quickly turned to the rest, "Shouldn't we follow him?! He'll take us to Yeona!"

"I don't think that's a wise idea, Hyunjin." Changbin said.

"BUT-"

"I know you're worried about her. We all are, but trust me, people like him could seriously hurt her if we make the wrong move." Chan explained and we all sighed, mine was a bit shaky,

She did nothing wrong...why the hell did she end up in this mess?!

Is it because Jinyoung knows about our relationship? But still, why would he kidnap her and keep her with him?! What does he intend to do?!

"I'm following him." I finally said.

"Hyunjin!"

"WE HAVE NO OTHER OPTION. I have to save her! Who knows what he'll do to her!"
