Round 2
Karasuno vs. Date Technical
"Thank you for the game!!"
You watched as the team huddles around. The coach amps the team up, giving them some advice about a strategy.
"Shoyo. Tobio."
The freak twins turn you, curiosity evident on their faces.
"Do your best," you say, placing your hands on both of their heads.
Hinata sparkles. "Of course I will!" He presses his head up against your hand, grinning.
Kageyama turns his cheek to you, blushing. "Tch! Of course I will, you idiot."
"Now go out there and kick some ass guys!"
"Yeah!!" You all raise your fists together.
The people consisting of the starting line up head out onto the court and not long after, the starting whistle blows.
Karasuno was receiving, so they got into their best formation.
Number one serves, Daichi receiving it easily, relieving some of the tension in the air.
"Nice pass!"
"Yes!" Ukai and Takeda yell, their excitement very contagious. You grinned next to Kiyoko.
The ball falls down toward Kageyama, who sets it behind him to Hinata, who in turn spikes it. It barely goes past Aone, who seemed to appear out of no where.
Kageyama served next. Unfortunately, it goes straight for their libero.
The ball is spiked back onto Karasuno's side of the court. Noya moves to receive it easily, shocking some of the people in the audience.
Tanaka covers for him, sending it to Asahi who called for the ball. Asahi approaches the net, spiking the ball straight into a triple block.
You frown, remembering how Asahi got stuffed just like this last time.
"Asahi-San, I'm sorry!," Noya yells, bowing his head. "I'll get the next one, I swear!"
"Thanks. I'm counting on you," Asahi says, patting his shoulder with a smile. "But don't worry. I'll make the next one count."
"Aww, c'mon! Get depressed, get down. I wanna see your spirit break," Futakuchi says.
"Don't say crap like that, Futakuchi!!" Moniwa yells, hitting him in the head with his fist.
The game resumed, each team with one point. During one of Tanaka's spikes, Aone accidentally touched the net, giving Karasuno another point. Aone bowed to his teammates in apology.
You observed each play, watching as Asahi got blocked again but it ended up being out. Karasuno was now leading by two points.
Your eyes drifted away from the game, making eye contact with Iwaizumi. He gives you a slight little wave, which you reciprocate. Surprisingly, Oikawa wasn't watching you. He was watching the game. (I'm assuming Aoba Johsai is there because both the coaches are so... sorry if I got that part wrong)
You payed attention to the game again, watching Aone fix his block after seeing Hinata adjust the direction of his spike. Takanobu was truly terrifying when it came to blocking.
"They truly are an iron wall," you mumble to yourself.
