It was the first night I spent in my new apartment, in Daegu. The night was peaceful, not a single sound of noises in the neighborhood. I, at first, thought this was too good to be true; living in a quiet yet beautiful neighborhood, and in a very pretty apartment.

It's 3 am and i'm desperate to find food for myself. There's no food in the fridge as i check to find any left overs of my kimchi jjigae i ate last night, but nothing showed up.

I grab my keys and head to the convenient store, but before I start the engine of my car, I see a dark figure sitting outside of their balcony on a top apartment. I can't make out the face, but the body shape of this person is familiar. As I squint my eyes harder, I finally recognized who this was. It was my neighbor who always is early for work. Wakes up at 4 in the morning and gets home at 2 in the morning.

definitely a workaholic

I think to myself...

I start driving to the convenient store, as I am still wondering about the guy in the balcony... I say to myself, "why is he up so early?...", then I realize, i gasp, "I forgot my ID card, aw crap...". Now I can't buy Kass beer if I wanted to.

I arrive at the store, noone is inside, eerie feeling I get when I walk into the store... I hear a very bright voice welcome me, "Welcome!", the employee of 7/11 still working at 3 in the morning.

With my tired yet friendly face, i smile back and I say "thank you!"...

I got some snacks and some drinks, and head I back to my apartment....

I check my phone as I arrive in the driveway, "damn, it's 4 am, I should eat something quickly and go to sleep", I say to myself.

I grab my bag full of snacks, and immediately I hear a familiar voice speak to me, "hey y/n-ah, you need to go to work in a few, you'll be late for your first day..."

... in silence, I look around and there he is, the guy I saw in the balcony earlier.

With a realization on my face, I gasped, "oh my god! You're right, I should hurry-"
The guy interrupts me, "no need to hurry, you still got like 2 hours." he said it with a soft smile on his face, "Oh I do! Thanks for reminding me!"

"no problem" he said it with a cold voice, this time, which surprised me, I nod and head inside to my apartment where I begin to eat some of my snacks and then, I fell asleep on my couch.
