~ Lily's POV~
" um.. hi dad. I was just about to go to school, but Isabella here was telling me how it was quite rude to leave without saying goodbye to you first." I quickly covered.
I love my little sister to pieces and would do anything to protect her, so I take all the blame when we do something to make our dad mad. Which is all the time considering how every little thing we do winds him up, for instance - breathing.
But seeing the way he frequently abuses and beats me, no way am i going to let that happen to Iz. So i guess im just going to be taking the blame again, which no doubt will end up with a good old beating for me tonight.
Sighing i realized i had completely zoned out and now my dad was glaring at me with a face as red as a tomato, which is never a good sign...
"WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF TRASH?!?!"
Great. Now im going to have a headache as well today - guess its just my luck.
" ummmm...yeah" I stuttered back.
"DON'T LIE TO ME! YOU KNOW I CANT STAND LIARS! YOUR A LOUSY, LYING, GOOD FOR NOTHING BRAT! JUST LIKE YOUR MOTHER!"
Wow. I didn't think he could stoop so low. Its one thing to abuse the living but he needs to show respect to the dead, especially after what he did you would have thought that maybe he might feel a slight bit guilty, but no. Clearly not. My father, yet again showing no remorse.
Well, you could hardly expect me to let him insult my mother, when she was the one person who ever actually cared for and loved me and Izzy, sooo...
"WHY THE HELL DID YOU JUST SLAP ME?? YOU LITTLE BITCH!! GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW BEFORE I GET YOU MYSELF!"
But thankfully by then I had already grabbed Izzy's hand and dragged her out of the house into the safety of the street. Now to the next worst thing in my life.
My sanctuary yet also one of my worst fears, next to my lovely 'father' of course.
