"Hey, Lilli. It's time to get up. Tony had one of his chefs make breakfast."
Steve says attempting to coax me awake, "I think they made waffles."
"Who made waffles?" I question as I stretch.
"You'll just have to come down and see." Steve teases.
"Ok," I groan, "just help me up."
I hold out my arms, and Rogers gently lifts me out of bed.
"Shall we, milady?" He sticks out his arm for me to take.
"We shall...I guess." I rub my eyes and take his arm.
We make our way downstairs to find that someone, did indeed, make waffles.
"Here let me get the peanut butter." Steve says letting me take the few steps to a seat at the island.
"It'll help with your protein, and well... You don't really eat syrup anyways." Steve mumbles.
"Hey we talked about this. Just relax, don't worry about me." I insist.
"It's not that," Steve shakes his head.
"Well then what is it? Talk to me, Big Guy."
"We're going away for a couple of weeks to help you regain control of your powers." He admits.
"Ok? Who's we?" I question.
"You, Bruce, and I."
"Where are we going away to, Steve?"
"Some private facility. Tony set it up to help you before you head back to work. He said he has a small project promotion in place for when you get back." He states.I smile and say, "I get a promotion. Tony Stark gave me a promotion?"
"Yes, but only after you get better." Steve points.
"Yay!" I hop lightly into his arms.
"Woah okay. I didn't think you'd be this excited." Steve admits.
"Are you kidding? You know how much I love my job." I gasp.
"Yes, but I didn't think I'd see you this excited in recovery. I mean, come on, you couldn't even walk on your own yesterday."
"Well, you thought wrong" I giggle and let go.

Steve grabs my bags from off the floor and heads out to the jet. Banner meets us there. I stumble slightly as I try to get up the ramp. My head starts to ache. I bend over and put my head in my hand. Steve is at my side in an instant.
"What's going on? What's happening?" He questions.
"My head," I groan. I can't manage to get anything else out.
"Okay let's get you in the jet." Steve picks me up bridal style and sets me down on the bench.
The aching slowly starts to fade away, and I'm able to recenter myself.
"Here drink this" Steve says handing me a bottle of water.
"I'm fine now, Steve." I ensure him.
"I don't care, drink." Steve demands.
"Ok...ok" I take a few sips and hand the bottle back.
"Are you sure you're okay now?" Steve asks again.
"Yes, I'm sure. Stop worrying." I insist.
He puts his hands up in surrender.
"Alright I'm ready to go," Bruce states walking up the ramp, "let's go."
"We're ready to leave!" Steve announces to the pilot.
"We are ready for take off." He mumbles into his coms.
------------------
Once we get situated, Steve sees the pilot off. We seem to be at an unofficial Avengers compound. There are bedrooms, training rooms, and plenty of space to breathe. I take a deep breath of fresh air, something you can't get in New York.
"This is nice." I mutter.
"Let's get you moved into your room, milady." Steve says picking up my bags.
We make our way to an elevator, and go up a floor. There's a small hallway with a few doors. Probably other spare rooms. We walk down a little ways before Steve says, "here we are. The fifth door to the left."
He opens the door and gently sets my bags down on the floor. I examine them room and make my way to the bed. Another sigh leaves my mouth.
"What?!" Steve teases.
"This is nice. The time away from the city. Don't get me wrong, I love New York. But, it's nice to have some peace and quiet every once and a while." I reply.
"Well, Tony did this all for you. He wants you to be able to work on yourself and understand your new powers. And then, you can head back to the job you love so much." Steve rambles.
I chuckle.
"Yeah life's pretty great right now, huh?" I question."Yeah it is. Go ahead and get situated. I'm going to go find Bruce and help him so he can find the lab." Steve teases.
"Good luck!" I taunt.
I get up from the bed and make my way over to the two bags sitting on the floor. I bend over to bring them to the bed, when I get dizzy. My guess would be the slight pressure change when I get closer to the floor. I try to bend over again with less arch. My head still spins. I let out a small frustrated groan and sit on the floor. I grab ahold of the bag's handles and scoot them over to the dresser. I crawl over a few steps and open the bottom drawer.
"I guess I'll just have to unpack on the floor." I mumble.
------------------
Steve opens the door to my new bedroom.
"Hey, did you get situated?" He asks."Yeah, I did, but I had to unpack from the floor because my head spun too much to bend over." I rant.
"Well I could've helped you. Why didn't you come and get me?" He questions concerned.
"Because I don't want to feel helpless or needy. I don't want to have to rely on people just to get around." I start, "in Sokovia, there was no one there to help you. You had to do things on your own otherwise, they just didn't get done. It makes me feel so guilty making someone take time out of their day to help me."
Steve gives me a knowing look.
"You know before I became the big, strong man that I am today, I was a scronny little kid. I couldn't defend myself or do hardly anything by myself. I always needed help. Bucky fought most of my battles for me." Steve relates."Bucky?" I question.
"My best friend," Steve answers, "he died in the war." He finishes sadly.
"Oh, Steve, I'm so sorry." I hug him comfortingly.
"It's in the past. But, maybe I can take you to the Smithsonian so you'll understand more. I already promised that I'd take you. Now, I have a reason to." Steve smiles.
"Okay that sounds like a plan, Big Guy." I reply.
"Well, then. I will see you tomorrow to start working on your powers."
"I will see you then, Cap." I salute.
'This trip will be a good thing' I think to myself, 'it will be a good opportunity. Just don't overthink it'
