He's too concerned about Reki, and Cherry, and Joe, and Miya to even think coherently. His hands are shaky and he tries to reach out to something for balance but nothing comes.

Cherry and Joe are trying to explain something called "the zone" in small enough words for them both.
But their limited knowledge doesn't help the situation.
Even so he's not paying attention.

They're almost at the final stretch of the course. Reki in the lead but Adam close behind, both are still just partially in the match. The audience is confused but still whooping and cheering at a turn done flawlessly.
People are cheering for Reki too.
It'd make Langa so excited under any different circumstances.
God where did it all go wrong?
It's Langas fault, he knows that much but what happened?
Tears stream down his face or maybe they were there before?
It doesn't matter.
What he feels doesn't matter.
Not to Reki. Not anymore.
He starts to run.

They get to the final stretch, Reki further ahead in the lead than Adam.
Nobodies sure who this kid is, they've seen him before but not enough to know his name.
They don't need to though, they give their support through cheers and yells.
What's happened to Adam though, he's not done anything cool this whole time? He's been normal,
It's kinda scary.

He runs faster.
He shoved a person out of his way on accident and only apologized half heartedly in English.
He runs a little bit faster after that.
He's right in front of the finish line now.

"Alright kid you've been here long enough." Adam turns one last time.
"That's our que" he says before vanishing.
"Hey! Wait! How do I leave," He calls out.
"HEY-" he hears faint cheering.
"Reki!"
He snaps out.

I cannot describe how happy I am to be writing this bit!! Langa having a breakdown, Cherry getting his revenge and finally laughing. Even if it's kinda crazy he's our crazo. <3
