It Had To Be You

The sound of loud bangs and yelling wake you up as usual. Your father Toshinori Yagi is known as All Might, the number one hero in the world. Toshinori isn't home very often but since you both live together in the middle of the city he can often come and check on you. Today is different from most days though, Toshinori is only doing hero work for the morning so for the rest of the day he will be coming home to train you and get you ready for the UA high school entrance exams.

"I AM HERE!" Toshinori bursts through the front door almost breaking it, smoke fills the door way, he is finally home from his patrol. "Hey Pop you seem to be in a good mood." Toshinori smiles and laughs at that comment. "I'M ALWAYS IN A GOOD MOOD, TODAY MORE THAN OTHER DAYS BECAUSE IT'S TRAINING DAY!"

You had been stressed yet excited to be training with the number one hero, for the past few weeks the idea of Toshinori being home and training with you for the first time in forever turned the nervous smile you gave him to a thrilled smile.

"Y/n I'm still not understanding why you turned down UA's offer, you could have got in through recommendations."

You shrugged just a little. "Pop I've told you, they only offered to let me in because of you being my father." You looked down to the ground for a second but quickly looked back up at Toshinori. "I want to get into the UA with my own skill, I don't want to just be seen as the daughter of All Might, I want to be my own hero!"

Toshinori was silent for a few seconds, shocked at the fact you we're finally gaining confidence in yourself. "Alright Y/n, you should become the hero you want to be." He gave you a proud smile. "Now, LET'S GET TO TRAINING!" You smiled back at him as you and Toshinori walked out the door to start your afternoon training.

It was cold. The rain was filling you're small boots. You're hands were as cold as ice, you're legs shivering from the cold and the fear you felt. You couldn't wrap your head around what had just happened. One second they were both standing in front of you the next they were screaming as they fell down a hole that had appeared out of nowhere. As you stood shivering in the rain, you told yourself to never allow your anger take over again. Your quirk is too powerful to use out of pure anger and aggression.

"Your combat skills have really improved since the last time I trained with you" Toshinori joked as he took a seat under a tree for shade. "You're forgetting the last time we did this I was 8." You laughed as you took a seat next to him.

There was silence for a few moments, until Toshinori broke it. "Do you remember the boy I told you about a few weeks ago?" You turned your head towards him with a confused look.

"Broccoli head?" You joked. "I think so, the kid who fought that sludge villain without a quirk?"

Toshinori gave a small smile. "Yes, his name is Izuku Midoriya. He is quite a big fan of me."

You laughed at the thought of Toshinori running into a fan boy while out doing hero work. "Pop you do know you're the number one hero, there isn't a single person who isn't a big fan of you!"

"That's not true." Toshinori started. "The number two hero Endeavor is not the biggest fan of me." He smiled for a moment then started back on the topic of Izuku Midoriya.

"The boy I met the other day, he saw my true form." Your face went white. The smile on your faces turned into a frown.
"WHAT?! HOW COME YOU WAITED TO TELL ME ABOUT THIS?! THAT BOY COULD TELL THE WORLD-"

"Y/N ENOUGH!" Toshinori yelled. "I waited to tell you because I wasn't sure how you would handle the news I've been meaning to share with you."

You gave Toshinori a confused face. Trying to figure out what he was talking about. "Pop if it's about Broccoli head being quirkless then I already know."

Toshinori interrupts you. "It's because he's quirkless that I have decided to make him the next holder of One For All."

You froze. Since you were a child, Toshinori had planned to pass One For All onto you. Having that power wasn't something you were excited for so part of you was relieved but at the moment all you could focus on was how much hearing Toshinori say that pissed you off.

"You're giving your power to a Broccoli headed fanboy?!" You felt so angry. Trying to hold the frustration back only made it worse. You knew you could let everything else or it would be a repeat of ten years ago.

"Please calm down Y/n" Toshinori started. "You have told me for years, you don't want my power. This boy was just like me. Born without a quirk, but born with the heart of a hero."

Hearing this calmed your anger a little. Though you still felt so angry about this situation but above all, you were angry at Midoriya. A boy you have never met. Suddenly stepping in and taking your father's power.

"Midoriya is going to be at the UA entrance exam in ten months. I think it would be a good idea to introduce yourself to him before then."

"What? Why would I do that?" You snapped back at Toshinori.

"Y/n I think it would be nice to have a friend with you as you start your time at UA."

You laughed. What Toshinori said wasn't funny. The idea of him saying that after all he's just told you, that you found both funny and annoying. 

"You really think I would want to be friends with Broccoli head? After I just heard he's going to be the next user of One For All instead of me?"

Toshinori tried to jump in but you continued. "I will never get close to that idiot."

You gave Toshinori a sour look before walking off to the apart on your own. Toshinori didn't follow you right away. Instead he looked around to make sure nobody was around and turned from his muscle form to his true form.

You still couldn't understand why a boy you had never met pissed you off so much. It was the same feeling Endeavor felt for Toshinori. Now you had two people to avoid if you were to make it into UA. Izuku Midoriya and the son of Endeavor. Shoto Todoroki.

I am going to try to make readers be able to see the main character as the actual reader OR an original character. I'm not the best writer but I hope to continue the story if people enjoy it! I'd be happy to get feed back on it as well. :)
