In Misteria-specifically in the Academia de Combate-inside the Headmaster's Office. A middle-aged man was sitting on a recliner, facing the glass wall to look outside. Where his dear students were scattered, leisurely walking and chatting-he just observed.

A knock was heard outside the quiet office.

"Come in." Headmaster Lucius replied and turned his chair towards the door. There he saw his assistant-Kito, entered and slowly closed the door.

He noticed Kito was holding a paper. Lucius squinted his eyes and asked, "What is it?"

"Well," Kito gulped before he answered. "The results of Temporada de Sangre just got out." he started.

Lucius gestured for him to continue.

".....And Marshall Institute won this year." he added, finishing his report.

"What?!"

A loud voice roared out of the room. "Did I hear you right?"

"Yes, I am afraid so." the assistant quivered from his position. He felt an ominous aura coming out from the Headmaster. And he didn't like it.

Lucius stood up from his seat and walked back and forth to digest the information. He wiped his face dry with his palms and stopped.

Impossible! He thought.

Marshall Institute has always been the last. They never win the Temporada de Sangre. Not even once. No one can cheat during the competition, so what happened?

"How come?" he mumbled then turned to Kito who was startled by his movement. "What rank are we in?"

"In fourth place, sir." Kito immediately answered. He figured the Headmaster's next question so he added, "The Sapphire Academy was the second place."

Lucius got back from his seat and leaned his back on it to relax. "How did Marshall Institute win? Is there like, some kind of error?" he asked, completely denial about the result.

Of course it was good that the Sapphire Academy did not win this time. But he can't get over with a fact that both rival schools lost over the ever-last-placer.

Kito shook his head. "The Marshall Institute won because the son of Schneider Family enrolled this year. He made the students his military troops and trained them like hell." he carefully explained. "He ruled over them in just a span of a year."

Schneider family, the wielder of the Dark magic core. One of the considered most powerful family in Misteria.

"Well, didn't the three powerful holders of magic core also enrolled this year? In my school?" Lucius remembered.

Yes, he has the three families in his school. The Lopez Family, the holder of Fire magic core; the Castillo Family, the holder of Earth magic core; and the Claus Family, the holder of the water magic core.

He had three, while the last one is in Sapphire Academy. The son of Garrison Family; the wind magic core holder.

Lucius was extremely confident that his school will win because of the three. But they got defeated by Marshall Institute? He is extremely perplexed by the situation.

Kito cleared his throat. "Uh yes, that's right. But... They didn't participate in the competition."

What?! Ridiculous! Then what is the sense of putting them on special section?

"Or rather.. they couldn't participate." Kito followed making Lucius raise his head to look at him.

"What do you mean?" Lucius was confused. He just took a short break from work and he already missed everything.

"Just before the Blood Season (Temporada de Sangre), the whole Class S.... Terry suspended them." Kito winced, pertaining to the substitute Headmaster.

Lucius sighed, of course he knew his little brother well. Even if they just simply walk around the field and he got irritated with it, he will suspend them. Terry suspends his students with his ridiculous reasons.

"Well, what else can we do except wait for next year." he said massaging his temples, finally dismissing the topic.

Lucius clasped his hands and pursed his lips. "What about the scouting of Demirians? Is there any news?" he asked.

"Nothing as of now." Kito answered, "but we will be hearing from them soon."

"That's good. I will be expecting them on the next school year." the Headmaster clicked his tongue. "Don't let the other schools get them before us."

"Yes sir."

Lucius once again turned his recliner to face the glass wall. "Let's win the next year's Temporada de Sangre." he declared.
