It had been a week since I came to Camp Half-Blood and I am being ignored by everybody. I guess word got out that I was a creepy stalker but I still think I can make Annabeth see that this place is madness.
But ignoring is not what I'm worried about. Wherever I go, people were always giving me dirty looks and tripping me, and talking about me behind my back. Personally, I don't think I deserved that.
But today, they went over their limit. Chiron had given me a room to stay in the big house. But when I woke up, everybody was gone. I looked out the window and no one, absolutely no one was there.
I wondered what had happened to them as I stepped out onto the porch of the big house. But the minute I set foot on the ground I heard a clanging noise above me. I looked up to see a huge cage falling on top of me.
In a split second, I realized that I was standing on a surface with wheels so when the cage fell on top of me, its momentum pushed the wheels forward.
I clung on for dear life as the prison roller coaster zoomed through the strawberry fields and into the woods.
The minute I entered the woods the cage fell backward so I had nothing above me. I could have jumped out but I found out that my feet were glued to the surface.
After a minute, I got adapted to the experience. Maybe this isn't so bad. And I spoke too soon.
A huge net-like thing fell on top of me, pushing me to the ground. I thrashed around frantically trying to remove it from my face when I felt something hairy on my arm.
Swallowing hard, I turned to that side only to come face to face with huge, red eyes.
A giant spider was sitting on my arm. And then... let's just say that whole camp might have heard me scream.
Pushing further and further into the woods, I got lots and lots of creatures to bite me, sting me, or drink my blood.
By that time I was screaming and crying for my mommy.
After what seemed like a million years, I came out of the woods looking like a zombie when the cart toppled me to the ground.
Groaning, I stood up to see the entire camp gathered around me and laughing at me. "Serves you right!" One of them shouted.
Do they think this is a joke?! Right then, I lost it.
"YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY? TYING ME TO A CART AND PUSHING ME INTO THE WOODS TO BE TORTURED?!?!?!"
"You wanted to see what Camp Half-Blood was like didn't you?" Percy asked while trying to contain his laughter. "Well, now you got a free tour. Also, the makeup job is excellent"
Furious, I turned towards Annabeth and said, "You see that?! This place is madness! I'm doing you a favor Annabeth. Listen to me!" I said knowing full well that she would believe me. But she just walked toward me and said, "Actually this is my home. It's not madness and the people here are like my family. That's why they wanted to teach you a lesson."
"And also because we love Percabeth." A Cherokee girl with a brown braid and a feather reminded her. Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah, that too."
I was about to march out of this place there and then when Percy walked up to her and kissed her. It wasn't like their other kisses. This one was more passionate almost like he was giving me a message, she's mine and mine only.
I started seeing red when I grabbed the thing nearest to me and threw it at the couple. Percy's eyes widened as he pushed Annabeth out of the way and fell down with a dagger embedded in his gut.
For a minute everything was silent. It was like the whole camp had frozen. "Good riddance," I said, trying to break the awkward silence.
Then, it was as if the whole camp was one huge monster. They let out a guttural roar and rushed toward me, punching and kicking me. The pain was so immense, I was begging them to stop. But it was like they had lost the ability to hear me.
"STOP!" A voice screamed. They all froze and retreated a bit. Annabeth came up to my battered and bloody body. She knelt down next to me.
"Caleb," she softly called out. I put my finger to her lips.
"Shh. Just kiss me."
She started leaning in and so did I. It was finally happening! The one thing that I have always wanted. Annabeth had finally come to her senses.
Just as our lips were about to meet, she stopped. She tilted sideways and whispered in my ear.
"This is for Percy." As she plunged her dagger into my gut. The last thing I heard before dying was a familiar voice saying.
"By the way, I'm still alive."
Hey guys. This fanfic was just written as a joke because @Daffoooo suggested the idea. Caleb is a character from the story Annabeth's Mortal Friends. It is written by liladres. You should check it out, it's a really good book. Anyway, he is kinda the guy who likes Annabeth and tries to break up Percabeth. So we all hate him and tried to come up with ideas to show his death. I hope y'all liked this and check out my other story which is a Percy Jackson fanfic.
