Chapter 40

Emily was cuddled up in Melissa's arms and sleeping soundly in the safe cage of her arms. Harry came in and informed Melissa that they were going to the venue of the concert to practice. He kept a brown package on her table and winked at Melissa, she blushed and smiled back at him.

"don't worry, its going to go well"

"you don't think its too early, is it?"

"no. I think its perfect. Now, I'm going to go. All the best"

"thanks. Bye"

"Bye" Harry smiled before leaving and closing the door behind him.

Melissa looked down at the sleeping figure of Emily and smiled. She slowly slid out of Emily's arms before getting into the bathroom tp het ready fpr the day. She put on a yellow dress with white flowers and let her hair loose for the day. She packed herself some essentials in her cross bag before finally getting out of the bathroom to see a groggy Emily sitting on the bed.

"You're up already?" She mumbled.

"Yeah..... you should get ready too" Melissa said excitedly.

"Where are we going?"

"DISNEYLAND!!!! YAY. Now come one lets get you ready so that we have plenty of time to visit every ride there and enjoy and eat and-"

"I get it Mel... I'm going to take a shower. Pick out an outfit for me?" Emily asked.

"Sure" Melissa reaxhed out for Emily's suitcase and rummaged through her clothes to pick out a white spaghetti top with a pair of black shorts. Soon enough Emily came out in a towel, her hair and makeup already done.

"Damn, I suddenly don't want to go to Disneyland" Melissa said looking Emily up and down.

"Shut up. Book a cab, I'll be down shortly" said Emily.

Melissa nodded before getting out of the room and checking her bag to makensure she had everything. She took a deep breath before going to the receptiong and asking them to book a cab.

"MELISSA!" Someone called out. She turned around to see Louis and Harry standing there with stupid grins on their face. She rolled her eyes at them before walking to them.

"What?"

"All the best"

"Okay....... so like the photographer? He won't be bothersome, will he?"

"Oh no no. You won't even realise he's there"

"Okay good. Now leave before Emily comes. I have to book a cab also"

Harry and Louis nodded before giving her thumbs up and leaving.

Melissa booked a cab and waited for Emily to come down. Emily had put on an oversized flannel shirt and her hair was up in a bun. She smiled at Melissa as she saw her and approached her before giving her a loght peck on the cheeks. Melissa out her arms around her as they waited for the cab. When the cab finally arrived after a good 10 minutes, they hopped into it and asked the driver to take them to Disneyland. Melissa talked incessantly about the rides she wanted to go on and how much fun they were going to have. How excited she was to be finally going to Disneyland and Emily as usual sat in silence listening to her whilst admiring how gorgeous her eyes looked and how kissable her lips seemed.

Arriving at Disneyland, they started with space mountain. All the while Melissa pretended she was alright and kept asking if Emily was okay but the tight grip on Emily's arm proved how scared she was. Both girls then moved towards the Inspiration Lake for a boat ride. They peddled around the lake with conversations and laughs and giggles. The lake was quite big so it tired them out. For lunch they went to the Chinese restaurant Crystal Lotus for dim sums. Emily tried to eat with chopsticks but failed miserably, wasting a few of her dim sums. Melissa on the other hand was good at it and ended up feeding Emily like a child because Emily insisted on it. After the lunch they went on to Mad Hatter Tea cups which was a horrible ride to choose after lunch. It ended up with both of the girls throwing up.

"I'm tired" groaned Emily as they walked through the park. She let half of her body weight on Melissa, her arms linked with her and her walking all wobbly.

"But we haven't even seen half of the park" Melissa whined and looked at Emily with puppy eyes.

"Then lets go to-" started Emily before looking at their bucket list "Festival of the Lion Kind, eh? We won't have to walk or puke or be frightened PLUS I love Lion King"

"Yeah? Who's your favorite character?"

"The lion?" Said Emily with a lot of hesitation. Melissa laughed at her girlfriend before getting serious.

"You haven't seen it?"

"No?"

"OH MY GOD. I THINK I MIGHT BREAK UP WITH YOU" she said dramatically. "How have you not seen the lion king?"

"By not seeing it. C'mon this will be good? I don't know the story and all so it will be interesting PLUS less tiring"

"Ugh fine" Melissa finally agreed. She looked at her watch and googled the time span of one show. She shrugged before following her girlfriend to the Lion King Musical.

Halfway through the show Emily fell asleep on Melissa's shoulder. Melissa just chuckled as she continued to see the show. Once the show ended, Melissa slowly shook Emily to wake her up.

"Good morning sleeping beauty"

"Good morning" said Emily rubbing her eyes.

"Come on. Let's go for the Disney in the Stars fireworks and then we'll head back to the hotel?"

"Okay," Emily smiled.

So they headed towards the castle for the fireworks. They walked hand in hand and waited in front of the castle for the fireworks. It was dark and the only light was being emitted by the beautiful castle in front of them and in just a few moments, it would be lit up by fireworks too. It would be the perfect moment.

Emily stood with her head rested on Melissa's shoulder as they waited for the fireworks to begin. Even though there was a huge crowd waiting along them, Emily felt a sense of tranquility with Melissa's arms around her. She felt as though everything is calm and nothing could go wrong anymore.

Just as the fireworks begun, Emily lifter her head off Melissa's shoulders and looked at them with her eyes wide and mouth agape in awe. She felt wonderful. She turned to look at Melissa to hd her hand but saw her on the knees instead.

"I love you Emily Tomlinson. I know I talk a lot and by now you should know I talk rubbish. I'm not very good at expressing my feelings verbally and at the end of each day I can't write you a beautiful letter, instead I can just say I love you because its true and I do love you so much. I know this might be early but-" she halted in her words before taking a box out "but I love you and when you know its perfect you should grab the opportunity of being perfect for the rest of your life rather than giving a chance to time to wreck it. Will you marry me Emily May Tomlinson?" Melissa asked and let out a breath as she realized she finally did it but her heart picked up a pace once again as she saw Emily not moving and just looking at her with her hands on her mouth.

"I-"

"You are giving me anxiety with all that time Em"

"I love you too" as those words escaped Emily's lips. Melissa relaxed. "And a thousand times yes" Emily smiled with a new feeling bubbling inside her.

Melissa slipped the ring on Emily's finger and got up to duck Emily into a deep kiss. As the fireworks continued to explode in their background with a couple of cheerers around them, they enjoyed the fireworks that burnt inside them. The magical feeling that Disneyland gave them would last forever. Emily couldn't wait to start her new life with Melissa.
