I'm Y/n L/n, 16 years of age. I live with my mom and It's been like that for my whole life. We're pretty close, honestly I consider her my best friend! I don't have any siblings and I've never met my dad, but Mom's told me plenty of stories about him that I practically have. He's some kind of musician from Caracas and mom says he has eyes that twinkle like stars. She talks about him so kindly and I get so happy any time she tells me stories about him. But enough about my parents, I have a problem!

So as you can tell I'm a girl who has lead a pretty ordinary life... until recently. Mom got a new job offer in Japan and because of this, we moved. As soon as we left the airport I was shot by an arrow. I apparently slept for a whole 24 hours afterwards and got up like nothing happened. At least that's what Mom says. She's always been one to overexaggerate injuries; maybe it's just her doing her job as a mom and a doctor, but who knows. I haven't told her or anyone else this though, I've been feeling very strange and I think I'm hallucinating.

Every time I feel anxious or I'm walking home from school, a feminine apparition seems to walk by my side. She's never really scared me or anything, in fact I feel safe around her. Since Mom has been working late almost every night now, I talk with her and we sometimes even watch tv! It's like she's my first friend here in Japan but I don't even know her name.

One night as Mom was at work and my imaginary friend and I were watching a movie I finally decided to ask her name. The answer I got was strange.

"You get to name me."

"Really? Hmmm.."

I was stumped. It felt like I was a mother naming her baby with no planning! I want it to be a nice name to reflect her and I. Then it hit me.

"Late Spring"

Late Spring is a perfect name!

A/n

Sorry, I know this was a short chapter!! I promise every chapter won't be this short. This was just an introduction to Y/n and her stand, Late Spring!

On another note, can anyone guess the music reference? I wanted to keep it similar to what Araki does when he names characters and stands! The answer will be in the next chapter! Until then I'll give three hints!

Hint 1: It's not a song from the 80's(when SDC is set), in fact it's a fairly new song!

Hint 2: The stand's name is only half of the song title(the second half)!

Hint 3: The genre of the song is Indie Rock!
