Dressed up in black, had her hair in a ponytail, prepared the speech she'd be giving and had it all memorized and even written on a paper in case she forgot, Ashley Mitch was ready to go to her mom's funeral. The last couple years have been so hard for her, watching her mom fighting her heart disease.
And the hardest thing she's facing now, is that she didn't get a chance to be closer to her mom, she thought her mom would live more, she thought it was okay to go out and leave her home instead of spending quality time with her, but now she regrets the most.
Ashley helped her two younger siblings to get dressed, checked on her father who has been depressed since he has been in love with his wife ever since high school, they were the typical high school birds.
They got to the cemetery on time, right before everyone else got there, minutes later people started getting in crowds for the final goodbye, hoping she might rest in peace as she was a very loved and nice woman.
For the first two weeks Ashley and her whole family have been accepting the visits and consoles, they have been hardly moving on but never forgetting her for sure.
Ashley was so pretty just like her mom, with Black straight long hair and her sea blue eyes, She was seventeen years old, junior in a public high school back in her home town, Charleston, South Carolina.
She had twin siblings, whose names were Ryan and Leila, they were about eleven years old, both blondes with green eyes looking more like their father, Doctor James Mitch.
Ashley's best friends never left her side after her mom's death, her closest was Melissa, and then came the rest of their group, Jessica, Hanna, Jake, Andrew and her boyfriend Toby, whom she's loved very much, they were all stuck beside her because they all knew how much she needed them.
Weeks later, Ashley was trying to move on with her life like what she thought her mom would want her to, and she started exactly from where she stopped, School.
Ashley went to school with everyone telling her how strong of a woman her mom was, and how she should finally rest in peace after all these years of illness and harsh medical treatments.
The first few days were pretty hard on her at school, but finally everyone stopped giving her lectures of how she's supposed to deal with her life and how she should take care of her siblings, and grow closer to her Dad.
Few weeks passed on, she became way stronger, more responsible and even started to act like a real grown up.
But she just missed her mom.
Very much!
Everyday.
And the thought that she never got the chance to make her mom feel loved and cared of, killed her million times a day.
