The breeze tickled [Y/N]'s cheeks as she tightened the reins of her horse against a tree nearby. A dangerous peck from the sea as [Y/N] felt her soul enlightened at the brightness of the scene before her. She still could not believe the new sight as she tries to adjust to the sinking floor beneath her, the contrasting crunches of boots from grass to the vast amount of sand, and the smell of a raw minty fresh breeze. She felt her soul pull back and forth like the ocean waves, she felt her shoulders straighten out while the wind casts drifts her worries away.

"Be careful!" [Y/N] called as Jean and Connie giddily kicked off their boots under the shade of the tree. Launching into a running start, a few steps and they were already shin-deep into the ocean.

"Hold on! Wait for me!" Sasha whined as she quickly kicked off her boots. [Y/N] stroked down her horse's fur as Hange excitedly hopped over to where [Y/N] stood, grabbing [Y/N]'s shoulder, "Are you seeing this, [Y/N]? Are you seeing all this? Open your eyes! Take in all these magnificent details!" As [Y/N] swayed from Hange's force, she nodded smiling at Hange, "I see it! I see it!"

Hange excitedly bounces where she stands, observing the landscape of glistening tan grains. Levi had just hopped off his own horse and was guiding it towards the same tree, glancing up to where [Y/N] stood.

As Levi trudged upon the foreign feeling of sinking briefly into the grain, he went to stand beside [Y/N]. He witnessed as Mikasa stumbles into the water barefooted chasing after Armin and Eren, while Jean and Connie attack Sasha with the clear water of the ocean. He is interrupted from his observation when he hears Hange screech a feverish yelp as they lift up a flat-bodied, shell-covered creature with asymmetrical claws clipping at Hange. Levi frowns at Hange's overly excited squabbling but decides to turn his attention to [Y/N] instead.

[Y/N] was bouncy, of course, she would be. She had wanted to also explore this new scenery. Everything she's ever heard about were from books, but to experience herself was a miracle. Every book described the majestic beauty but to see it, well, one would have to actually experience it. Because no body truly ever mentions how blue the sky really is. Yes, it is the same shade of blue as inside the walls; yet it never appeared as attractive as it is now. Or how the clouds looked so characteristic, so free flowing, and white and fluffy. The books never describe how breathtaking the horizon is, because her eyes had not once peeled away from the everlasting horizon and how it looks ever so charming, so far away from her reach and yet she would throw almost everything away to chase it. The waves in the distance, shimmering like stars but so much brighter and clearer. The riding waves closer to the shoreline was faster, rocking back and forth slapping each other, as if competing to touch the grains of the land first. The grains of the earth sparkling under the sunlight, hot to touch yet cool as her fingers dig deeper under the surface.

[Y/N] had wanted to run wild and free, she wanted to sprint across the beach along with Hange, finding what they could and sharing theories of what it is. Yet, she willed herself to stand where she stood; under the shade, where Levi was.

Levi, knowing [Y/N] well enough, knew what she was doing; that she had wanted to run with Hange but that [Y/N] also didn't want to leave Levi alone under the shade. At the thought of her thoughtfulness, Levi had chuckled under his breath, secretly very glad that [Y/N] stood with him.

Chuckling for a second longer, Levi was quick to turn his attention to [Y/N] as she addresses him. "Captain, it's beautiful isn't it? The sky blue water, it's almost as if it were the sky itself. I bet the water is 100 times more crisp than the ones inside the wall!"

As those words left her lips, Sasha's voice echoes through the beach. "MY EYES!!"

Levi and [Y/N] turn their gaze to the direction of Sasha watching as she doubles down, hands slapped over her eyes as if to protect herself while Connie howled throwing his entire back into a laugh. Just then, Levi and [Y/N] watch as Jean takes a huge gulp of water. The voice of Jean's discovery echoes through the beach, "DAMN! IT'S SALTY!". At the call of Jean's finding, [Y/N] hangs her head in shame. Though, the overall excitement hangs in the air making [Y/N] crack up into a giggle.
