It was Thursday afternoon, in my dorm. Fred's Head was laying in my lap while I braided his hair. Brielle had left to study in the library with Neville, while Bella and Luna came to converse with Fred and me.
"So Lune," Fred started, "what kind of party would you like?"
"Freddie- stop moving your head! I can't braid it properly if you keep moving!" I scolded him lightly.
"Fine!" He groaned before grinning cheekily. "But you didn't answer my question!" He huffed, feigning a look of annoyance.
"I don't know, surprise me I guess," I answered nonchalantly, as I finished one of Fred's braids.
"Oh, now you opened a world of possibilities, you did," he grinned brightly.
"Oh, no," Bella groaned suddenly.
"What is it?" Luna asked, looking up from her book.
"I was supposed to go study for potions with Draco an hour ago," she answered, as she quickly packed her book bag.
"Well, you better be off. I can come with you if you'd like me to," Luna offered kindly.
"Why would you go hang out with that git, Malfoy?" Fred questioned her.
"Because I want to? Anyway, let's go, Luna!" Bella quickly made her way to wherever Draco was, with Luna following closely behind her.
As soon as I finished Fred's braids, he quickly shot up and looked at me with his puppy dog eyes.
"Do I look pretty? Because I feel really pretty," he asked almost like a small child.
"Yes, Freddie, you do look pretty," I chuckled slightly before he took me in his arms. His warm embrace engulfing me.
"Now! Can you do my eyeliner?" He asked me in a perky voice.
"Of course! Let me get it," I started to hunt for the eyeliner in my makeup bag.
"Got it!" I made him lay down on my bed. He put his hands behind his head in a relaxed way and closed his eyes in anticipation. I straddled his stomach and started to put the eyeliner on his eyelids.
"Fred, if you don't stop moving-"
"I can't help it! Your hair is tickling my face!" He retorted. I giggled an 'I'm sorry' before tying up my hair and going back to work.
"And done!" I announced and got off of him.
"Thanks, Lune, now I am going to go catch Lee and George. Bye!" He practically sprinted out my door.
It was Friday evening and the buzzing energy was radiating throughout the school. Not for my birthday, but rather the party that would be held by the party masters themselves.
George (Not because he wanted to but rather Fred made him) had made some amazing decorations for the party. Fred had everything prepared for the party it was like a dream party.
"Miss, Lupin," Fred started in the poshest accent he could muster.
"Yes, monsieur Fred?" I replied, mimicking his comeliness. I batted my eyelashes a few times for an added effect.
"Oh? We speaking some French now are we?" He grinned playfully at me.
"Did you expect anything less from me, Freddie?" I asked in an incredulous tone. He chuckled before holding out his arm so he could lead me out of my dorm into the Gryffindor common room.
The lights, smoke, and fumes of the many alcoholic beverages wafting in the air created the intoxicating ambience of the party.
"Oh. My. Merlin. Freddie! This is probably one of the best parties I've ever had!" I exclaimed happily. He puffed out his chest and grinned triumphantly in his victory.
"Well, I had to do something great for my new best friend. So don't expect any birthday gifts from me," he tossed me a wink before going to a table cluttered with the alcoholic beverages for the party-goers.
I didn't know where to go first, everything was out of my comfort zone. Of course, Noah has told me stories of the house parties, but I have never thought that one day I would be attending one.
George's point of view:
I saw her standing awkwardly where Fred left her. Why am I even thinking about her?
"Hey, darling, whatcha looking at?" My girlfriend, Alicia, asked me. The party's flashing lights flickered on her skin.
"Nothing, Alicia," my eyes darted from Lune's figure to Alicia's. She huffed clearly unsatisfied with my answer. What was to come of this night?
"George, I'm going to go get a drink with Lune, okay?" She stood on her tiptoes and gave me a quick peck on my lips.
"I want to come," the words had already left my lips before I could reason out why I wanted to go. Only one answer came to mind. Lune.
"Why? Don't you guys hate each other? I mean she slapped you in the face," Alicia eyed me up suspiciously. I needed to say something to her, but what?
"I want to be with my loving girlfriend?" I meant to say it as an answer, but it ended up as a question. Fuck me.
"George, I love you, but you need to give Lune a break. It's her birthday after all," said Alicia. I nodded slowly and said a low 'Okay' before I stalked off again.
I watched closely as Alicia walked up the Lune, who was caught off guard by Alicia's invite. Lune smiled awkwardly before accepting her invitation and walking over to the drinks with Alicia. I noticed Lune's yellow lace dress was seemingly... short. Short enough that I could bend her over and fuck her brains out What the fuck, George? Why was I thinking about her this way? I have a girlfriend and I hate Lune? Bloody hell, what is she doing to me?
Lune's point of view:
I'll admit I was a little surprised by Alicia's invite since I did slap her boyfriend, but all was well.
"So, how are things with George?" I attempted some small talk.
"Why do you ask about him?'' She asked me suspiciously.
"I just wanted to talk, I'm sorry I didn't mean to intrude," I started my apologies.
"Oh, no! You're fine! Umm- He's okay, I guess? We don't talk much, he just seems distracted lately." She sighed sadly. I couldn't help but feel bad for her.
"Alicia, I'm so sorry that's happening. What do you think is distracting him lately?" I asked tentatively. She picked up a drink, not caring what was the contents were. She took a drink and grimaced before she stared into my eyes.
"You."
