|Kageyama's POV|

It's Friday again. Time for chemotherapy.

It's painful. But I can't afford to give up just yet. I wanted to play for this year Volleyball Winter Cup. But looking at my condition, I guess that's most likely impossible.

I'm aware of the time I have left very well. The Doctor told me that there might be a chance of recovery, but it doesn't sound convincing for me.

I headed straight to the room where my chemotherapy is held. The smell of medicine yikes.

A bright-orange hair colored boy around 1.6m tall caught my attention. He was wearing a jersey with the label MSBY. I remembered that my school will be fighting against MSBY for this year Winter Cup. He's heading towards the same room as I was going.

"Oi Hinata! I'll head back first! Text me if you need any help!" Sakusa yelled.
"Arigatou, Sakusa- san!"

Sakusa left, leaving Hinata alone heading to the same room as Kageyama was heading.

The atmosphere is so tense. Everyone in that room is undergoing chemotherapy. A nurse tended Kageyama to a seat beside Hinata.

"Oi MSBY kid! What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be practicing for the Winter Cup or are you backing out because you're fighting against Schweiden Adlers?" Kageyama grin, eyes looking at Hinata who is seated beside him.

"Hah! Who are you to say that? Besides, MSBY got better players than Schweiden anyways. We are going to win this Winter Cup and head towards the Nationals." Hinata laughes, giving Kageyama that proud-winning look.

"Then why aren't you practicing? Or perhaps you have the same 'luck' as I do?" Kageyama replied.

"It's none of your concern." The Nurse called Hinata, signaling him that it's time for his chemotherapy session.

"Oi MSBY kid, let's face each other off next time. I'm Kageyama Tobio, Schweiden Adlers setter!"

"I'm Hinata Shoyou, MSBY spiker! I'll see you again soon."

Hinata left for his chemotherapy and so do Kageyama.

An hour feels like a day. The Chemotherapy session is finally over.

"Ahh..that annoying boy is actually Schweiden Adlers setter huh? acting all mighty when he's also undergoing chemotherapy" Hinata chuckles and whisper to himself. It's rare finding someone who had the same fate as himself.

Hinata packed his stuff and head towards the exit when he saw Kageyama pass through him.

"Oii! Bakayama! That's your name isn't? Since we both have finished our chemotherapy session, wanna take a walk together?" Hinata shouts, waving his tiny hands to signal Kageyama.

"It's Kageyama you idiot! and whatever.." Kageyama walked towards Hinata and they both start walking towards the exit and headed to a nearby park.

"Oi Hinata, why are you undergoing chemotherapy?" Kageyama asked.

"The same reason as you." Hinata responded with a sadistic tone.

"Cancer isn't? It sucks right? Chemotherapy sucks. Everything sucks. I can't even jump high anymore because of this fucking disease." Kageyama frustrated. His only dream is now destroyed because of his worst nightmare.

"It's painful but what can we do. Chemotherapy is the only solution if you want to participate in this year Winter Cup. We need to get better in order to fight each other." Hinata tries to encourage Kageyama, but his words doesn't sound convincing enough.

"Let's not talk about that anymore. It will only bring bad luck." Kageyama ended the conversation.

A Ramen stall was spotted nearby.

"Oi Bakayama! You're hungry aren't you? Let's go get some ramen!"

Hinata stomach was growling with hunger. Kageyama seems uninterested but decided to play along instead.

"I want Ramen Set-A and for this young boy right here Set-C" Hinata ordered 2 sets of ramen for him and Kageyama.

"Time flies so fast indeed. I use to eat ramen with my teammates all the time. But now, I'm only accompanied by my disease instead." Kageyama sighs, thinking about the days were he used to love ramen.

"Your teammates...do they realize what situation you're in right now?" Hinata asked hesitantly. He wonder whether if it's okay to ask that kind of question.

"Nahh..I don't want them to know. Seems like your teammates knew about your disease considering one of them visited you just now." Kageyama responded.

"He's the only one who happen to know about it. I had no plans on telling them either. I don't want to worry them especially when the Winter Cup is coming."
