"What's wrong?" You look into Mark's concerned eyes.

"I'm sorry about you and Lucas." You sigh, you should have seen this coming. You give yourself mindful slap in the head.

"I saw it on Twitter. It was an article link."

You and Lucas were dating over a year. You guys met through Mark. Lucas asked you out shortly after meeting you and hanging out often. At first, the relationship was all heartfelt and...romantic, but after a few months of fantasy, it started to seem to good to be true for you.

The relationship began to become toxic as it felt you both were finding excuses to argue. Both of you weren't happy, but you kept telling yourself and others to keep pushing the relationship.

It wasn't healthy. You knew the long distant and never being home for the relationship was a bullshit excuse for Lucas to end the relationship.

But you weren't even upset at the fact that you guys broke up. You were mad that he was the one who broke up with you. You think it makes you look weak.

You didn't go public with either the coming out as dating or the break up. That's all Lucas' thing. You didn't like to go public with your life as an idol. But Lucas loved the attention in your eyes, so you saw it coming, but of course he made it seem bittersweet.

"You read what on Twitter?" You heard a familiar voice approach you and Mark. You look and see Jaehyun come up and wrap his arm around Mark's shoulder.

"Um nothing, Jaehyun." Mark cleared his throat. You could tell Mark didn't want to make the situation any worse for you.

Jaehyun looks at you then Mark. "Fine I didn't wanna know anyway."

Mark shakes his head and begins lightly tackling his hyung. While they are distracted you slip away to find Jungwoo, but soon find Taeil first.

"Hey little sis." He smiles and ruffles your hair.

"I have a name, dork." You slap his hand away.

"Sorry miss. Y/n." He bows in front of you.

You roll your eyes, "I'm getting tired, I think I'm gonna head to my apartment."

"So early? You're boring." He shakes his head in disappointment.

"You know you used to yell at me for staying up too late and going to parties, and now I'm boring?"

"Live life, y/n." Your older brother suddenly gets soft, "you need it."

"Whatever you say, I think I'm just fine." You begin to walk away. "Tell Jungwoo I said goodnight."

"Wait, I'll take you home!" Taeil follows you.

"How are you gonna take me home? I have my own car, and if you drive me, how are you gonna get yourself home?"

"I'll sleep on your couch." He grabs your keys out of your hands. "Someone needs to take care of you once in a while."

"Ah, Taeil! I'm not a baby!" You try to take your keys back, but Taeil slips away towards your car.

You follow him, shaking you head.

On your way back home, Taeil drives to your apartment, which isn't far to the boys' dorms. Taeil could walk back to his house, but it wouldn't be safe for him and you wouldn't make him either.

He sings softly in the car as you watch the nightly view of your neighborhood. The lights reflecting on the windows. You always preferred the night.

Taeil pulls into your parking spot. You guys get out and get into the building. You unlock your apartment door.

You drop your keys on the table. "I'm still surprised that you live in an apartment." Taeil says to himself.

"Why? I've been living here for how long. At one point so we're you."

"I know, it's just you always talked about living in castles."

"I'm not a child anymore."

"No, but I always see you as a mansions and need to show my wealth and worth girl. But I guess your closet and car does that enough."

You sigh and shake your head, trying not to go off on your brother. "Why are you here?"

"I told you, to take care of you. You need a guide sometimes."

You walk into your bedroom and grab a pair of pjs for Taeil, as you always have extra for him. He takes them and you both get ready for bed.

After you finish your routine, you sit at the end of the couch where Taeil is getting his blankets ready.

"You know, I know what I'm doing with my life. I know where I'm going, and I know how I'm doing things. I don't always need my older brother for everything." You wanted to tell Taeil what's on your mind and how you feel about him always trying to be your guide.

"I know. You're very independent. You don't need me a hundred percent of the time. But you're being too hard on yourself. I know you are. Im supposed to know these things. Your going through a hard time. I'm not here to boss you around, or tell you how to live your life. I'm here to let you know that you're not alone in life. That I'm here for you. Stop being so hard on yourself please. You don't have to tell me anything, but I'm always here for you. If you're having a hard time and you just need company, call me." He puts a hand on your shoulder.

You say your good nights. As you tuck yourself into bed, you think about Taeils words carefully.
