Chapter 10: CONFRONTATION OF WITCHES. Part 2: contact.

It is already dark; they only have half an hour before their absence is noticed.

They enter the woods, guided by Lily. Followed by Kiarah, Ella who clings to Rune's wrist.

Lily motioned for them to stop and pointed to a floating shadow that sucks the life of an animal.

She gestures for the girls to hide in a bush.

"Now what do we do?" Rune whispers.

"Well... we attack and save the animal." Lily answers softly.

"The animal is already dead so forget it. And attack with what?" Kiarah said bitterly and softly.

"Well..." Lily doesn't know what to say.

"Great, are you taking us outside without having any plan of attack?"

"I am no specialist in spectra and other monsters! And we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with if you hadn't brought that damn box!"

"Ah? And who is it, who opened the box because of a so-called hex or other enchantment?"

Lily and Kiarah exchange look full of anger and accusation.

The shadow continues to suck the life out of the animal. It is starting to have a more precise shape.

A skeletal head, torso and shadow hands. However, the bottom has no shape yet.

Ella looks at the still shaking shadow, her wand in hand.

Rune not knowing who to turn between reassuring Ella and calming the ongoing argument, panics a little before taking sides.

"Stop! Both of you!" Slowly cuts Rune. "The question now is not who caused the current situation but how to fix it."

Lily and Kiarah look away with a "Hmph. "

"It's impossible to work well together given our history, but let's at least try not to lose our goal."

"Yes. You're right... thank you Rune." Lily said smiling at her friend.

Ella rushes over and throws a [Lumos Solem].

A bright light comparable to that of the sun briefly illuminates the wood as in broad daylight.

The spell is so spontaneous that others are blinded by it.

The shadow seems to weaken, he is crouching and stretching out his hand, a ball of fire forms at the end of the 5 fingers of his left hand, he throws them.

Ella ducks and tells the others to get down.

Rune still blinded is touched and howls in pain, she is not physically burned, the flames of the specter burn her inner being.

Kiarah regains her sight and throws an [Incedio] at the specter who swallows the fire and stands up.

She is disturbed to see her fire spell; her pride being absorbed.

The shadow rushes towards her and gives her a slap that sends her waltzing on a tree.

Ella's spell fades, the specter goes towards Ella squeezes her throat with her left hand and puts a finger of her right hand on her head, at that moment, a large shadow comes out of Ella and takes the appearance of a great snake.

On its side, the snake spins in a threatening way around Ella who falls to the ground, in tears and pissing on herself.

The snake surrounds her, suffocates her and opens its mouth, preparing to swallow Ella.
