Third pov

Tej Parker had had a very interesting life after he met Phoenix and Brian. Not at all slow and steady like he figured he'd had when he was a kid, oh no. That went out the window as soon as he met those two. Both forces of nature that he knew could make life sour for whoever they feel like it.

Which is why, when he got a phone call from a less than happy Mariah Verone, he looked longingly at the closest set of stairs and debated the pros and cons of throwing himself down them head first.

"We have a problem."

The conversations around him stopped.

"It's not just Dom they have, they got Phoenix too."

Roman groaned loudly and face palmed. "Why? Why is she with them? Where's Verone?"

Tej looked at Mr Nobody. "The person that just called me is Mariah Verone. Cipher has Phoenix and Carter's kids."

The quiet that laid itself over the group was deafening. Letty was the one to break it. "Shit. Didn't she give birth what, 4, 5 months ago?"

Tej nodded. "Yeah. Mama Verone said that she'd been out on a race, her first one since before the pregnancy, and Cipher hit the house. Carter's been shot and both kids are in Ciphers hands now."

"That makes this ten times worse." Roman said, eyes narrowing. "She's going to have to follow orders, Cipher doesn't strike me as someone that feels bad about killing kids."

She wasn't, something the secret government people knew.

"Wait!"

Everyone looked at Letty, who obviously had realized something.

"Cipher has a hold on Phoenix. Her kids, she's going to do anything to protect them. But this also means she's got something on Dom too." She ran a hand through her hair. "I mean, think. Dom isn't the type to just, go rogue. We just don't know what she has on him."

Tej nodded slowly. There's something in that.

Question is, what the fuck does she know that Dom has hid?

Phoenix braided her hair to keep it out of her face. After that she leaned back in her seat.

"Look at them. They're beautiful."

"You're looking comfy."

The redhead shrugged. "It's either that or just sit rigid in a corner until we get to where we're supposed to be."

Dom sat down on the chair on the other side of the table. He had a dark look in his eyes. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine, if you ignore the pain I've had in my hip since the blast. But other than that, just fine." She switched from leaning back to leaning forward and resting her head on her arms, careful to twist her mouth subtly from the camera in the corner of the room. "So what does she have on you?"

"My son." He saw her raised eyebrow and continued. "I didn't know about him."

"I'm guessing the blonde woman currently looking after my kids are the mother." She didn't need verbal confirmation, the look on his face was enough. "Look, if you have a plan, I'm following your lead as long as you can promise my kids are safe." She spoke quietly.

They both doubted there were anything more than the camera but it didn't hurt to be careful, which is why he just nodded and whispered. "When the time comes. Play along."

He left the room after that and the redhead decided to take a nap. Cipher already had them in her grasp, what more could she do at the moment?

Carter could sit up as long as he was in a wheelchair. His mother refused to agree to more than that.

"Comb the house and the property, top to bottom. I want to find out how they got in. Once you've found that out I want the security tripled. I want to know if so much as a mouse passes through anywhere. Vet every potential person to set everything out, no one gets in or out without a full background check."

This would never happen again.

"Damn it. She wiped it all. Took God's Eye." Junior Nobody was not a happy camper. "That was the one thing we could use to find them. We've lost everything."

Deckards computer beeped catching Hobbs attention. "What do you got, princess?"

"Finding Toretto and Verone." Deckard ignored the nickname. "But I got a couple minutes to spare if you want me to send you to the hospital. Again."

Tej and the others watched them get into each other's faces.

Ramsey looked at what Deckard was doing in the meantime. "Wait a minute guys, I think Deckard's actually onto something. How do you think Dom and Cipher got into the country without us knowing? Ghost flights."

Tej thought about it. "I thought untraceable aircraft was all intenet conspiracy stuff."

"It's not." Mr Nobody said simply. "Satellites and radar grids all accross the globe shift like an ocean. They've got channels that open and close. And theoretically, if you know the right people who know the right patterns..."

"You can fly right through the blind spots completely undetected." Ramsey finished.

Letty, who had quietly been growing more tired of everything at the moment, spoke. "So you know where Dom is headed?"

"Yeah, New York."

Time skip

"Our children." There's awe in Carter's voice as he touches Zoe's cheek. "Our family."

"Time to get up." Cipher tossed a bag to Phoenix. "You and Dom are going to hijack a convoy."

Phoenix looked inside a bag to find a change of clothes.
