"So." She said, looking up at him. "how was it?"
"It was...fine." He muttered vaguely.
"Just fine?" She frowned.
"Yeah. Fine." He repeated.
"Nothing extraordinary?" She asked him.
"Not really." He sighed. "I'm very tired, though. Might just have a shower then go to bed."
"Oh." She said, disappointed.

She always loved hearing about Michael's adventures. She loved her job as a nurse, but he got to meet famous people, go to parties and preform to millions of adoring fans everyday. So she enjoyed to be told about his experiences.
"If it was such a drag how come you're so tired?" She joked, trying to lighten up the mood.
"I'm just tired alright! Stop questioning me." He yelled.
That's when she knew he had done something that night. Something worth bringing up. He never got mad unless he knew he would get in deep trouble with her.
"What really happened tonight Michael?" She questioned, hands crossed over her chest.
"Nothing!" He shouted. "Leave me alone!"
"No. I need to know what you did." She stated, frowning.
"How do you know I did something?" He asked.
"Nobody goes out to a party for 7 hours straight and doesn't do anything." She said.
"I just talked to some friends, had a few drinks. Nothing abnormal." He said.
"Who did you do? I mean, what did you do?" She asked, still frowning.
His eyes went wide and he shuffled his feet. She saw this and stopped still, realizing what he had done.
"No..." she trailed off, tears forming in the corners of her eyes.
"I didn't-" He started.
"No!" She yelled.
"You don't-"
"No." She said, voice barley a whisper.
She walked backwards until she ran into a wall, then she sank down to her knees. Tears were pouring from her eyes.
"Em..." He said, not knowing how to finish his sentence.
"Tell me I'm wrong, tell me it's not true. Tell me you did not sleep with another woman." She looked up at him, her crying eyes pleading for him to prove her wrong. But he couldn't. He had slept with a girl tonight. A one night stand for sure, but he had still done it. The one thing she had made him promise not to do. He had cheated on her.

She burst out in tears. He whole body shaking from the force of her sobs. She had never thought he would betray her. She had made him promise to never do it. She wouldn't be able to handle it. It was her one fear. She wasn't afraid of him cheating, or breaking up with her or breaking her heart, it was the fear of falling apart.
