Okay so I know there is confusion about it, but Y/n is a selective mute, not a full mute. Being a selective mute, she chooses whether she wants to use her voice or not. Being a full mute would make her unable to use her voice. She says she's a mute because she doesn't want people asking about what made her stop talking. I did my research this time so I know what I'm talking about.
