4 : Thank You!

I slowly opened my eyes. The white ceiling above me made it obvious that I was not at my home. My head hurt badly and I was not even able to sit straight.

I slowly tried to sit up but almost failed when two strong hands held my shoulder.

My eyes were still not ready to open completely. The person put a pillow behind me to support my back.

Finally, I opened my eyes, and I was astonished to see the person before me.

"Seokjin?" I broadened my eyes. I never expected him to be here.

"Woah you remember my name?" he laughed.

"Why are you here and where am I?" I asked.

"You collapsed in my arms last night so I took you to the nearest hospital. You were drunk!"

I tried to remember everything from last night. But everything was messed up in my little head.

"Don't think too much. You were about to get hit by a truck but I came there like a Superman and saved you. You should be grateful to me. Haha," he laughed again.

His laugh had a unique squeaking sound, like when we rub windows. His eyes were almost closed as he laughed there for like 2 or 3 minutes straight. I was just sitting there dumbfounded, wondering what was that funny.

"So you saved me?" I asked him, and he still giggled like a ten-year-old.

"Yes! I think I've Spiderman powers. You know Spiderman shhushhuffffff," he made funny faces and I just couldn't help but laugh. What a man.

"I'm so thankful to you for saving me!"

"Yeah, you should be thankful. After all, I saved you, means I gifted you a new life again!" he pouted.

"I wish it was true," I whispered to myself.

"What?" he asked.

"No nothing..."

He nodded.

"Well...I'm not ill after all, so I think it would be good if I'm discharged," I just wanted to go home soon as there was still a lot of work to do at the office.

"You collapsed in my arms last night and you had a very high fever. First I thought I should take you to my home but then I thought you barely know me...what if you wake up and get startled. So I took you to this hospital instead."

"I'm sorry for bothering you!" I held my ears and continued, "Can you just tell me how much did you spend admitting me here?"

"It's none of your business. I'll go and talk to the nurse so that she can discharge you,"
saying this, he stood up, but I held his wrist.

"Please tell me...why would you pay my hospital fees? I just bothered you so much, I don't want to bother you more!"

"I'm doing it because I'm human...and there's something called humanity. I will drop you at your home," he went away.

It was a surprise to meet such a beautiful human being in this world which is more than half occupied by heartless people. Although we had only met once, it still felt like we had met years ago.

It was still difficult for me to stand straight.

"Here, take my hand for support," he forwarded his hand on the stairs.
