Justice Is Served

Chapter 8

"Lady Justice" hawkmoth called out to her. "focus on the main task. get me the Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous. I can have you stripped from your powers" hawkmoth wasn't happy. sure the girl was his best chance of getting miraculous. the Akuma was in her heart! but she was so focused on Lila. he himself did wonder what this girl could've done to finally make her snap. 

Lila was cunning. that he knew since she was also so persistent in getting him to akumatize the hardest victim in Paris. however, she was not as strong as Marinette by a chance. that much was obvious, akumatized or not.

he hated to admit it but he was also very impressed with her style of outfit. she somehow managed to create her villain costume herself. he would have to talk to her one day about her designs if he got the chance. 

for now, though, he needed to stick to his priorities and that was getting ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous.

"pipe down hawkmoth" Lady Justice replied, annoyed at the interruption. "strip me from my powers and you get no miraculous. you and I both know that I'm your only chance. you wouldn't want to fail again now would you?"

The girl was also very clever.

"you had better not fail me" was all he said before she felt the connection disappear. 

Lady Justice just huffed and rolled her eyes before walking up to a tied-up Lila.

"now...what should we do with you?"

Lila just glared at her.

"well,, you could let me out of these stupid ties for starters!"

"hmmm...."Lady Justice said looking as though she was considering it. 

"nope!"

"ugh! look, you've had your fun. seriously, let me go"

Marinette stopped chuckling and glared at Lila sending a shiver down her spine.

"you think that I'm just going to let you go?" 

"you put me under a spell making me see shit I never want to see or go through again! you've done enough"

Lady Justice stalked closer to the girl and crouched until she was level with her.

"I decide when it's enough" she mumbled darkly enough for her to hear. she stood again.

"and believe me when I say that I'm not done with you"

Lady Justice looked up from the building when she heard the sound of propellers from helicopters.

"perfect" she whispered. she was finally going to expose this liar for what she was.

she looked down from the building and saw the news vans again.

"it's showtime," she said turning toward Lila

"wha-" she didn't have enough time to answer when she was once again grabbed by Lady Justice's hair and being.

Lady Justice waved her hand and three large holographic-like screens appeared showing her face.

"people of Paris," she said, her voice loud for anyone to hear from a far distance. 

"I'll bet you've all been wondering what my ulterior motive is through everything that I have done so far"

she brought Lila closer making sure that she could be seen.

"I'm sure you know the loved and adored Lila Rossi" she laughed. "she's not all she displays herself to be. she is a cunning, spitefully, horrible little liar!"

she stepped forward

"she made the people who I thought were my friends think that I was a bully who would hurt her with every chance that I got. none of them believed me when I tried to defend myself. you all probably don't believe me now. well, why don't I show you!" she grinned as the screens began to multiply and change.

Chat Noir finally met up with the other heroes after feeding plagg.

"finally. we would've left without you" Queen Bee huffed. Chat Noir rolled his eyes.

"my kwamii likes to eat a lot ok?"

"well if you didn't use your cataclysm there wouldn't be any delay"

"Hey, at least I tried to do something. I'm sure Ladybug would've said the same thing"

"yeah because you would know what she-" 

Ryuko coughed loud enough to get the two to stop with their squabbling.

"if you guys have forgotten, we need to stop Lady Justice from possibly dropping someone from a roof"

"So what's the plan exactly?" Chat Noir asked. they could faintly hear Lady Justice's voice from where they were.

"We need Marinette to be kissed" Queen Bee explained. Chat Noir felt his heart thump for a moment. 

"kissed? why?"

"because the Akuma is in her heart. the last time this happened to someone they had to be killed" Viperion replied

"shit, we can't kill Pri- Marinette!"

"exactly. which is why the only other option we have is a kiss" Ryuko smirked "and Viperion is going to do it"

"Did I just hear right?" Chat though to himself. "and how is that going to happen. you can't exactly just walk up to her and kiss her without being attacked"

"we'll figure it out. shouldn't be too hard for Viper anyway" Ryuko chuckled nudging a blushing viperion on his hip.

"why him anyway?" he tried not to sound sour about it

"because it is what we decided" Queen Bee replied. "no time for any more discussion. we gotta go and save Marinette"

"and Lila" Chat added. 

Queen Bee rolled her eyes. "yeah sure, her too"
