Even after much rejections from Lan Qiren, A-yuan get's adopted by Lan Zhan.
There goes no question about Lan Zhan being nothing but a wonderful father to A-yuan, now Lan Shizhui. After all, he was the last remaining living reminder of the love that his Dads once had.
Often, while putting little Yuan to bed Lan Zhan would tear up. Wei Ying's memories haunted him every moment.
Lan Shizhui has grown up to be a very disciplined, responsible, loving, caring, and kind young man. It's striking how he looks like his daddy Lan. Even, Lan Qiren approves of him now. He is the head boy of Cloud Recesses and is respected among his peers. A true successor to Hanguang Jun.
He has a sworn brother, named Jing Yi. This guy was though brought up along with Shizhui , by Lan Zhan, he clearly defies the Cloud Recesses rules on a daily basis,with of course, no remorse. Even after being the most "un-Lan" Lan, nobody denies them to be brothers. They do share a bond deeper than blood.
Time does have wings , doesn't it? After 13 long years Wei Wuxian, is finally back to Lan Zhan. Lan Shizhui is again with his family, now complete with his Daddy Ying.
